Score 5 out of 5 Bed and Breakfast feel, with a great location! Theodore Everything is steps away. Nightlife, Bars, Bakerys, and Shopping. The Almond Tree Inn in Key West was perfect. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. They have a continental breakfast by the pool every morning, and Happy Hour in the evenings with wine , beer, and snacks at your dispense! I stayed in the Queen Suite, and it featured a sitting area, as well as a wet bar and microwave. They provided two plush robes, and large fluffy towels. I liked that the shower was seperate from the large marbel vanity area. The location was incredible! You feel like you are in your own little world, but in reality you are just a few steps away from Duval Street. I really enjoyed my visit, it was everything I wanted! Score 5 out of 5 great for singles or couples lisa, Islip, NY, 2007-03-05 you'll never need a taxi, except to head to the airport.great staff, great happy hour and breakfast. nice pool, although mostly shaded during the day. nice rooms, clean, staff is very accomodating. location is right off Duval for those late night walks home. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly and comfortable Anonymous, Hartford, CT, 2007-03-01 We especially enjoyed a Mexican restaurant about 2 blocks away. I can't remember the name (it might have the word Salsa in it), but as you leave the hotel and turn right up Duval St. toward Mallory Square the restaurant is on the left. This was our first trip to Key West .We were very happy with our choice and will definitely stay here again when we return to Key West. And we will return since we absolutely loved Key West! The hotel and grounds were well cared for and immaculate. The pool area, though not large, is nicely landscaped and very comfortable. The hotel is in a convenient location, just 1/2 block from Duval Street, and there is a 24-hour CVS next door which sells beer, wine, snacks, etc. We rented bikes from a rental place across the street and found this to be the ideal way to tour Key West. The hotel is extremely well managed and we found the owners to be friendly and helpful. They served a continental breakfast each morning and cocktails in the afternoon. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are several within easy walking distance. Very nice place. Score 5 out of 5 O U T S T A N D I N G Robert, 2007-03-01 The Almond Tree Inn is within walking distance of most everything that Key West has to offer. The Almond Tree Inn is a meca in Key West. Great location, fantastic amenities, super staff, what can I say, it was a wonderful experience. Score 5 out of 5 Extremely Cozy Great Service Jason, 2007-02-25 All of the restaurants, bar spots, and beaches are well within walking distance. Walked the entire weekend and was not even fatigued when the trip was over.I've stayed at a few Bed and Breakfasts in Key West, but the Almond Tree takes the cake. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is the friendliest and most accomodating that I've seen. They truley will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable, and taken care of. The price we paid was extremely affordable, and my expectations were exceeded. I'd say the only downside would be that there is extremely limited seating around the pool area, however the beach is only a block away. The location is right off of Duval Street, and well within walking distance of all of the nightlife and restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a nice quiet B&B that is close to all the action. Score 5 out of 5 Great location and quiet Frederic, Miami, FL, 2007-02-16 Duval street and the Hemingway House are a short walk away. The Almond is located at walking distance of Duval Street and the main attractions of Key West and also very quiet. Our suite was spacious and clean.I would definitely recommend the Almond as the perfect base to discover Key West. Score 5 out of 5 Great upgrade to old Florida hotel Anonymous, 2006-11-03 Easy walk to coffee or Hemmingway house. Less than two blocks away. Dinning, live music, drug store, ice cream, all less than a 4 minute walk away.Owner did a great job of turning an old motor inn into an oasis in old Key West. Running waterfall water washed away all traffic noise. Beautiful Garden Pool area to read books or soak up the sun. No closing time for pool or spa. Nice way to meet other guests at free happy hour and morning breakfast. Personal touch of owner is in evidence everywhere. Each detail is well thought out. Non-corporate personal touch is a joy amongst all the rampant consumerism evident in Key West. Easy to find for the first time for out of town guests. About a 15 minute walk to Mallory Square waterfront. Easy walking distance to all amenities and shopping. A perfect home base to explore old Key West for those with out a car. Score 5 out of 5 First visit, would definitely return Douglas, 2006-08-01 Hemingway's house, the lighthouse museum are only 2 blocks away. Stores are around the corner. Kelly's restaurant several blocks away was nice and has good home brewed beer.Second stay in Key West, but first time at Almond Tree Inn - and really enjoyed it. Small to medium size, very pleasant staff. If you like big hotels, stay elsewhere...this has more of a personal feel to it. Room and service were great. Very close to Duval, and a walk to the pier downtown was about 5-10 mins. Will definitely return. Score 5 out of 5 Comfortable Retreat Anonymous, Birmingham, AL, 2006-07-20 Duval Street was just a short walk away.We were greeted at The Almond Tree Inn with such friendliness...and given a delicious home-made cookie while checking in. The room was cool and extremely clean which made us happy as we were road weary. The king-size bed was very comfortable. There were two suitcase stands, which came in handy for our two pieces of luggage...although there was plenty of hanging space with hangers in the closet. The location was terrific too. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go, leaving the car parked during our stay. The breakfast offered a nice variety of foods, and the coffee was delicious. Everything about The Almond Tree Inn suited us just fine and I would reccommend it to any couple touring Key West. |
