Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Good for business in Jacksonville Robert Waterfront facilities in downtown area have just about everything just 10 minutes away. The Best Western Jacksonville hotel is just about 4 miles south of the downtown area and was very convenient to locations all over town. With its water challenges and all the bridges, Jax can be tough to get around particularly if you do not know the roads well. the hotel was not luxury, but it was quite clean and bright. Score 5 out of 5 Helpful Staff Anonymous, 2007-02-19 Applebee's and other chain restaurants within a short drive from hotel. All very nice.Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was good. Easy access to I-95 and beaches. Score 5 out of 5 good for an overnight stay daniel, Atlanta, GA, 2007-02-18 easy to get to, just be sure to look really really quickly when you get off of 95 or you will fly right on byA reasonable place to stay for one night. Located in area with many hotels so plenty of choices there, but with it being race week, options were limited. Room was clean, check in simple. Complimentary breakfast was limited but seemed to be the standard fare. All in all, no problems with the hotel(though i never could find the sana - not that i had time to use it either) Score 5 out of 5 very clean and friendly atmosphere debbie, 2005-12-02 We were there for business and it very located close to nice restaurants. Jacksonville is a great city.I was very pleased with the accommodations at this hotel. I had previously stayed at another location the last time I was there and this place beats them overall. The rooms were extremely clean and the size and comfort was awesome. Would be delighted to stay there again when in the neighborhood. Score 4 out of 5 Pleasant Stay Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2005-11-26 New shopping center with great stores is just a short 10 minute drive. For the rate charged, I was satisfied with the overall service, location, and cleanliness of the hotel. Only disappointment was the three high school groups that were on my floor. They were too noisy, too early (5AM). Highly recommended to other guests. Score 5 out of 5 Great Holiday Hospitality Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-11-26 Dave and Busters was great fun for the kids, and an easy walk from the hotel. The Best Western JTB, in Jacksonville, provided a warm and gracious hospitality to us during Thanksgiving. The staff were full of holiday cheer and made our stay quite delightful. Score 5 out of 5 Good location for our purpose Anonymous, 2005-11-13 The Marriott next door has a very nice bar.The only complaint we had was that we rturned to our room after 2PM and the room had not been made up, Housekeeping knocked as we were getting ready to go for a wedding so got clean towels but no other service. Would like to have had a door notice to request room service early when we left the room at 7:00 AM Score 5 out of 5 Family Friendly Shawn, Tampa, FL, 2005-11-12 The Best Western Southpoint offeres a decent room at a decent price. The room bathrooms are a little dated, the rest of the room and common areas are more modernly styled. Romms have free internet. There were a lot of kids running around during my visit, so it was lively. The hotel is easy to find from I95, but getting back out can be a little confusing. Parking in fron fills up quickly, but the lot in back actually gets you closer to the elevators and front desk. Score 1 out of 5 A disappointing experience DEREK, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2005-11-09 Having telephoned early to notify the hotel of my late check and of my request for a non-smoking room we arrived at around 11.00pm. The male desk clerk was surly, to say the least and very unwelcoming and unhelpful. The room was not the 'Standard King Room' that had been confirmed, but was instead a two double bedded smoking room specially designed for 'handicapped persons' to use. It was grubby, reeked of cigarette smoke and both beds were rumpled.I telephoned down to complain to the front desk and was told that 'there was nothing they could do as the hotel was sold out and there were no other rooms available'. To make things even worse, the in-wall air conditioning unit banged annoyingly all night long and kept both my wife and I awake all night. Not only would I never stay at a this hotel again; I would never stay at any Best Western Hotel again, if this is their standard. Score 4 out of 5 Good value Michael, Orlando, FL, 2005-11-06 The room was comfortable, but the fan in our bathroom was broken and the bed pillows were not adequate. |
