Good for the money

Todd, 2007-02-18

Burger king next door, a sushi restaurant across the street with a waffle house and a gas station. About 2 blocks away was a Ale house and a target.

If you are passing through for a couple of nights and need to save a buck or two the Hotel 6 in Gainsville is a great place to stay. Recently renavated rooms really stepped up the appearence of the inside even if the outside looked a little rough. The 2 double beds in a room was a tight fit so I would recommend not putting four adults in this room. It was close to the University of Florida and had alot of fast food restaurants and sports pubs near by.

Great hotel for the weekend

Anonymous, 2007-02-18

Lots of fast food, chineese, and mexican food. within walking distance there was what looked like a fancy japaneese steak house but we plan to wait till next time to go there.

My girlfriend and i went up here for the weekend to see UF because she just recently got accepted and the hotel is right near campus and everything else in gainsville. There were lots of dining locations so it was easy to find food. Was also nice that it was only a block off the interstate so after a long drive it was nice to not have to hunt for our hotel.

Good location

Anonymous, 2006-11-12

Across the street is a shopping center. There is a Walmart and a variety of stores and restaurants.

Motel 6 was located in a good area. It was close to the University of Florida campus, which was the main reason we went to Florida for the game on saturday the 11th. It also had a variety of restaurants close by. I don't think I will stay in a hotel where pets are allowed and I won't stay in a smoking room either. The reason we got a smoking room was because those were the only available rooms. The room and sheets smelled like smoke. But overall it was an ok stay.

Hole in the wall

This hotel provides the very bare minimum. I would only stay here if you don't have any other options.

Terrible hotel

Fred, West Palm Beach, FL, 2006-10-08

Shopping

The room was dirty and there were bugs in the room. The bed sheets were disgusting and the room was filled with the stench of smoke. I have stayed in surrounding hotels and they are much better. I was forced to stay at this one due to last minute arrangements. Faced with a similar situation in the future I will sleep in my car.

Good location, great price

Isabel, Springfield, IL, 2006-10-07

Very near the University of Florida, and easy access from I-75.

The hotel was clean, and well-located. It was homecoming at the University of Florida, and I'm sure many people would have given anything to have these accomodations. Good value for the money.

Excellent value

Excellent value. Located within easy walking distance to several places to eat. Easy to get to from I-75. Room was simple and clean, HBO on TV. Has a pool that seemed well maintained. Simply cannot beat the price.

Cheap Place To Stay

Anonymous, 2006-07-28

A cool hooka lounge called "Farrahs" on University Blvd.

If your looking for a cheap safe place to stay this is the place. I wouldn't reccomend a family staying here, kind of a shady place.
