Very young staff lacking somewhat in manners. I used an iron in my room and it was dirty and left a mark on my shirt. I called for a new iron and 45 minutes later, I called again. I came in an hour's time. I missed the breakfast, but a cleaning lady got me a bagel. I was nearly late for my businness engagement and now I have a ruined shirt. I left a very nice phone charger in my room and came back 2 days later for the charger, but I was shown a box of chargers and told to just take one. None were mine although a person I called on the phone said it would be in housekeeping and the door would be opened at 9-am. I waited until then to get my charger, but I didn't get it. I did get another one though, so I guess that's okay. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Dunedin, 2005-12-26 No review provided by user Score 1 out of 5 Dreadful.... April, Orlando, FL, 2005-09-04 Do not waste your time with this hotel---The La Quinta Inn in Gainesville,FL, was the most disgusting place that I have EVER encountered. The rooms wreaked of water damage, mold, mildew...you name it!!!The reservations stated that check-in was at 1:00---when we arrived we were informed that we could not check in for days. When we finally did get to check-in the room had the bed's stacked on top of each other and a fan blowing on the beds and carpet to dry it out---the so called upgrade for that disaster was a conference room with a disheveled bed pushed into a corner(not acceptable).....I could go on and on and on, so in short the hotel should be CONDEMNED!!!!
