Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Red Carpet Inn Hotel, has been a very bad experience for me and family. Gabriel Pick this accomodation if you have to be near the airportRed Carpet Inn Hotel has lots of improvements to make before accomodating guests. The overall appearence of the place is repulsive. Rooms have a dirty look and they are. Sheets, blankets have holes and are dirty. Pillows covers, bed shetts and towels were dirty, giving imnpression that were not washed. We all were very disconforted to be staying in such place and took a great deal of pleasure of our vacation. The elevators were small, could not put all of our luggages at the same time. We were forced to make fes trips. No help with the luggages. This was very big inconvenience for us who have back problems. Location is fine and the transfers to airport was fine. Over all, the high price we paid was not justified. I will not recomend it to any friend. Score 2 out of 5 Older Hotel in an Unpleasant Neighborhood Anonymous We chose this hotel as it is located close to the airport and the cruise ship terminal. While the price seemed a bit high, it was equal to or lower than some others in the general area. The employees at the front desk provided good service and directions to our room, which was adequate in size, but showed age and wear and tear. It seemed acceptably clean, however, there was no coffee making ability and no toiletries other than soap. The room was equipped with one small bath towel and one wash cloth. There was a restaurant on the property and the only one close. The food was as bad as I have seen in many years. There was not enough help to handle the number of customers. In one case, a customer, who was leaving actually went over to a table of new customers and took them silverware, water, etc, and made some comment to them that we could not hear, but brought laughter. The menu was adequate, but we found that there were only two entrees that were actually available. My dish looked like it had just come from the microwave and was still cool in the center. We did not try breakfast. In fairness, we were told the restaurant was under new management, and was just getting started. The hotel was completely full, we were told, due to cruise ship traffic and the Super Bowl. That fact may have contributed to considerable noise and loud people during the night. I have little knowledge of other hotels in the area for comparison, but we found the Red Carpet Inn to be a facility we will not use again. Score 2 out of 5 Would no recommend Rick, Hartford, CT Hotel appeared old. Small bathroom, ceiling looked like someone had fallen through it and they did a haphazard job of fixing it. There weren't any shampoo or lotion in the room. It was either overlooked or it is just not supplied. Outside noise kept us awake=talking just outside the room and we heard huge trucks going by through out the night. I probably would not mind all that if we had paid alot less. Carpet looked funky. I would not walk barefoot. Score 4 out of 5 Still recovering from hurricane damage Susan Very close to airport and Port Everglades. After reading other reviews, this motel was just what I expected - still recovering from hurricane damage. The staff was very nice. We requested a room that had been refurbished already and we got that. The beds were comfortable, since we had four in the room we had to request more towels - no problem there. Carpet was soiled but bed linens clean and we saw no bugs. Restaurant in motel had just reopened. Service was slow but wait staff was very cordial considering they had woeked long hours the day we were there. Were out of some menu items but we were there late for supper. Big crowd for breakfast since a lot were using this motel for cruises that morning, so plan ahead. Van staff were vey nice from airport and to cruise port. Best price for a motel in the area that has aiport pickup and shuttle to port. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Rochester, NY There are no other nearby amenities, but there is a restaurant at the hotel. It is near Port Everglades -- great for cruisers and offers a complimentary shuttle.Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2007-03-09 Score 1 out of 5 Avoid Staying at Red Carpet Hotel Anonymous, 2007-02-25 The Red Carpet Hotel simply did not roll out the red carpet upon arrival. My husband and I chose this hotel based on price, location and transfers to and from the hotel to the airport. Our driver picking us up from the airport was very friendly and helpful. The several mile drive from the airport proved to scary and praying we would not break down in this filthy, litered area. Upon arriving at the hotel, they were in process of reroofing. We approached the smokey lobby with bent mini blinds and wondered what we were getting into. We were very tired and got our key and went to our third story room. The exterior of the hotel was very shabby! The parking lot housed a lot of semi's staying the night. There was litter blowing in the parking lot. The exterior of the building, windows dirty and overall needed a desparate paint job. My husband and I hiked up three floors (no elevator) with our luggage. When we made it to the third floor, it was obvious that housekeeping did not clean the exterior hallway. We placed our key into the lock. Our room was quite a shock. Appearance of beds looked clean, the bathroom was clean but the furniture was scratched and second hand. The mirror had scratches on it. Our vanity sink had no stopper. There was only one bar of soap, no shampoo or hair drier. There was a two in daylight gap from the bottom of the door. We stacked our luggage upon a chair and feared for our safety in the hotel. Having checked in late, we went to the lobby and asked about nearby restaurants. We were warned not to venture off the grounds and to eat at their facility. Given the ride and looking at the interior and exterior we understand why not to leave. The dining room had rusted metal chairs. There were corner chunks of laminate removed from the table. The waitress was friendly, however our three choice selections....they were out of. The few items that were available, were of poor quality. The lasagna was cold and served on a dirty plate. My chicken ceasar salad was raw and served with old stale buns. I would classify this hotel as one from Hell! Score 4 out of 5 location Anonymous, 2007-02-25 We stayed here just for the location. Its only a $10 cab ride to the Hard Rock Seminole Casino, so all in all we just wanted somewhere to stay after a long night out. Score 3 out of 5 Only for 1 night Elisa, 2007-02-23 airportThis Hotel is perfect for 1 night ,only for sleep before leaving to airport instead of try to search something other. By the way the rooms are ok.
