TOO Scary....Had to Change Hotels!!!

The Days Inn Fort Lauderdale I-95/Broward Blvd was the worst hotel I ever attempted to stay. It is not worth the price. It was so bad we changed hotels. When checking in one of the people behind the desk was cussing as I walked through the door. The room they gave us was not able to be opened. Something was wrong with the lock. After they were able to gane access to the room we discovered that the floor was soaking wet and the room smelled horrible. On our third trip to the office they gave us a different room. We then noticed people sitting in the walkways...just hanging out...gave us a not so safe feeling. We then went to check out the pool and decided that we needed to change holels. The pool was not clean and was green.

You must drive to anything and everything of interest. There isn't much of anything near this hotel except I95.

This hotel was serviceable as a place to sleep, and conveniently located to I95 and downtown. However, it was very modest in all other respects. The tub drain and toilet were very slow to drain. The quality was appropriate for the price, but in the future I will choose a location much closer to the ocean. This is not vacation accommodations!

the beaches were within 4 miles and so was downtown artsy Ft. Lauderdale.

The Days Inn was comfortable and clean. The chair were stained and not used. Bathroom facilities and vanity was separate. Staff was very helpful.

A bit scary

I reserved four rooms for a group. We were on a limited budget so chose the Ft. Lauderdale Days Inn two star motel located near the airport. It was after dark when we arrived and the lobby was locked off so we checked in through a box office type window. The desk clerk was quite pleasant and helpful. The rooms were not very clean. The continental breakfast room had buckets around and in the hall catching rain from the leaking ceiling. Some other guests asked us if we knew that the hotel was a hangout for drug dealers! . Not a place I would go back to.

total disaster

the area were this days inn is located is not a very good area of town. the rooms had a very strong cigarette smoke smell, the bathroom had holes in the wall of the shower water area which were very badly repaired, the t.v. had no buttons, the sheets and blankets on beds had big burn holes. we were two couples staying at this motel and we were afraid to even go out the doors at night time. the dinning room is very nice and the staff members that attendet to us were very pleasant but the variety of what is offered for the price they charge is outrages.

Never Again!!!

This hotel was in a such a neighborhood, that I would suggest to my fellow travelers that if they have the misfortune of booking a room here, don't leave the room after dark.

Days Inn should review their "truth in advertising" policy. This hotel is not "completely renovated"..it is under renovation now and not very far along at that. It advertises HBO or SHO and has neither, advertised a refrigerator and microwave in the room, no microwave. No ice/vending machines on the floor I stayed (2nd) just the empty slots where they should have been, very surface cleaning done in the room...mattresses didn't even have fitted sheets and the flat sheets hardly fit and you ended up sleeping on bare mattress (real health issue). Most importantly we called front desk at approximately 11pm when we realized the smoke detector was malfunctioning because it needed new batteries and were told maintenance would respond. We never saw them. Fire Inspectors would be quite interested in that I sure.

Horrible time

I understand that this hotel is a two star and so I was not expecting a great experience, but at least a liveable one. The individual checking me in first of all was not really dressed correctly due to the fact that his hairy chest was nearly exposed and was not very helpful. After checking into the room the carpet was very dirty and as a whole the hotel was very very old and outdated. The small refrigerator was very old, damaged, and most of all dirty. In both the shower and the sink the water was brown. Not a good way to take a shower and come out feeling clean. This room had double queen beds and the first one I layed on didn't smell quite right. After further detection I was able to determine that the odor was vomit. I was horrified and moved over to the other bed. The hotel claims a pool, but I am not sure I want to swim with weeds, green water, and broken tree branches laying around the area.
