Incompetent rude staff

Anonymous

Near enough to Ft Meyers airport to be convenient.

I had ONE goal that night, and that was some business phone calls, as I had lost my cellphone. The first room had a broken phone, and the young lady who checked me in was very nice and helpful, moving me to another room with a working phone. She put my credit card on file and opened the phone line. I did some business, and then went to bed expecting to do some more business early in the morning before catching a plane. When I woke up the phone did not work, and the lady at the front desk said she dis-connected my line because she noticed I was running up a bill. I stated that is why I gave you a C-Card #. She was very un-willing and rude. I had to persist, and she only agreed if she could pre-charge my credit card for a large amount of money to be sure I was good for it. It took her about 15 more minutes to figure out how to run the credit card, and when I returned to my room, the phone still did not work. I returned to the desk only to find that she could not figure out how to re-activate the phone. After a while I could not wait anymore, politely stated that I needed to catch a plane, and asked for my money back that had pre-run on the credit card. At this point, she turned irate asking why I was creating problems. I politely stated that there was no problem until she turned off my phone, and that now she was taking too long and I simply had to go. At this point she went psycho like a Jerry Springer show, and I thought I was in a bad dream. I could not get any reciepts, and when she credited my card it was for the wrong amount. I couldn't get everything straightened out in time and just had to walk out to catch the plane.

OK for spending a night

Charles

The hotel was a little better than satisfactory. The TV was an old model with a poor picture and the beds were exceptionally hard. OK for me but my wife and daughter complained a bit. I guess I would stay there again because it is in a very convenient location for where we visited. In addition, there were plenty of resturants nearby.

My review of Super 8 Motel Fort Myers

New looking on the outside, very old on the inside. Would not stay there again unless I absolutely had to. Not worth the money.

Just Okay

Anonymous, Charleston, SC, 2006-12-15

A short drive from the hotel, I was able to go to Pier I and Hallmark and stores like that that were clustered together. There was also a variety of restaurants.

This hotel was somewhat costly for what is was worth. There were many construction type workers staying in the hotel and this was a turn off. The room was very clean. There was free internet in the reception area, but it was so slow that I couldn't access my email.

Comfort & Cleanliness for low cost

Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-05-18

Mall and miniture golf course and lake.

The hotel was very clean. I liked the fact that the bathroom fixtures were modern. The room is comfortable and the cost very reasonable. The hotel was very close to a major mall and the area was in close proximity to dining areas.
