Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Daytona Beach Shores Surfside Hotel Eric, Washington, DC, 2007-03-12 This hotel had everything that we needed during our stay. It was very easy to access the beach and had a 7-11 across the street for any needs the hotel couldn't accommodate. I would have liked to be closer to the Bike Week action around Int'l Speedway Blvd (about 5 miles), but it was not a problem. Score 4 out of 5 GREAT SUNRISE Thomas, 2007-03-10 Room was very clean and housekeeping kept it vary clean all week. Score 4 out of 5 FRIENDLY CRAIG, Key West, FL, 2007-03-07 SEVERAL RESTAURANTS IN WALKING DISTANCE.THE HOTEL IS RIGHT ON BEACH. HAS A RESTAURANT AND COCKTAIL LOUNGE. ROOMS ARE LARGE AND ROOMY WITH REFRIGERATOR. IT WAS A FEW MILES FROM BIKE WEEK WHICH WAS GOOD. Score 5 out of 5 very nice place to stay patti, 2007-03-06 grocery and k-mart not very far awayvery nice place will stay again and again, very clean spacious room, very reasonable rates pool looked nice but weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy it. Score 5 out of 5 great location Anonymous, 2007-03-05 Denny's within walking distance. Publix grocery very close.I loved the lotions and soaps that the room provided. We had a great view of the ocean. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also were very pleased with the microwave and refridgerator. Score 1 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-06-11 Good area and close to the beach, shopping and resturaunts.I was just staying for the night, as it was inbetween an event I was attending on Saturday and an event on Sunday. I checked in late and left early and didn't have much time to see any of the hotel other than the lobby or the room. I ended up not checking in until 3am . Score 2 out of 5 My review of Surfside Hotel John, 2006-05-29 Red Lobster right across the streetThe overall accomodations were ok, however the set up for coffee in the morning was poor with only one small package of decaf and one of regular...for two people. With no continental breakfast this atleast could be improved upon. Score 2 out of 5 User unfriendly Richard, 2006-04-18 The Surfside is conveniently located on the beach with ample restaurant choices and convenience store nearby. The refrig. was not in working condition and had to be put into working order. There was a coffe maker and complimentary coffee, but no elect. outlet on the table. Had to pull out the night stand and plug into the lamp socket. TV programming was good, but reception very poor. The restaurant was not open on Easter Sunday, so had to go outside to get lunch & Dinner. On the second day my wife went to sleep by the pool and received a severe sunburn which necessitated checking out a day early. Hotel said no credit for early checkout. |
