Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-07-02 The Daytona track is only 7.5 miles away.Score 1 out of 5 Not recommended Anonymous, 2006-05-07 The La Playa room we stayed in was very run down. I believe we were given the worst room in the hotel. The elevators were very slow and were a bit scary to ride in as they sometimes would not open right away when getting to the floor we needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and appeared apologetic for giving us the room they did. Score 1 out of 5 Horrible Hotel Roy, 2006-05-07 Better Hotels! This hotel was so horrible that we left after the first night even though we had paid for two nights and there was no hope for reimbursement. We would have left the first night but there were no rooms elsewhere available. The hotel was dirty, and not just regular renovations dirty, I mean smelled bad, carpets were stained, bed spreads were hard and crusty. This was truly the worst hotel stay I had ever had. AND to top it all off there was the national jrotc championships going on so we had to hear rifle practice all night long and then again at 5am! I did not sign up for boot camp on this vacation. Score 4 out of 5 Very nice staff Michael, 2006-05-02 shopping accross the street.La playa resort was comfortable. I liked the fact the kitchen was separate from the rest of the room. I was able to close the kitchen door, while I made coffee and did not wake my wife. The room was nice, but the carpet looked dirty. One spot outside the kitchen needed cleaned. My wife and I would lay a wash cloth over the spot so we didn't have to look at it. The rest of the room seemed to be okay..cleaness and all The bathroom was clean and water pressure from the shower was good. For the price the hotel was more than adequate. The staff were very nice and check-in and check-out was very quick. The door to our room did stick a little bit, but really was not an issue. The elevator on the west side of the building is very slow and has a limitation of six adults. The elevator on the east end of the building was very quick and had no concerns about the number of adults that could ride the elevator at one time. Score 4 out of 5 weekend stay Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2006-04-03 Grocery store across the street. Also places to eat breakfast and lunch.Easy check in.I did not like the location of the first room but they moved us and upgraded our room which was bigger and better. Score 2 out of 5 Unclean Rooms susan, 2006-04-02 Shops are abundant everywhere, along with many restaurants, many within walking distance. The rooms were very dirty, and the plaster was chipped in many areas. The bathroom floor was very dirty. The location was great, and the oceanview rooms had a balcony that was nice to sit and watch the ocean. I would not stay at this hotel again, however, due to the filth. |
