LOVE THE IDEA OF STAYING IN THE MALL. PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL WERE FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING. IT'S A VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE ALL AROUND.

The Florida Mall Hotel is easy to locate, and shopping and major restaurants are within a short drive, literally a minute or two, if you leave the hotel. But why would you? Florida Mall Shopping Center is connected to the hotel, and is outside the check-in desk. What could be more convenient? Restaurants, high-end stores, fast food outlets -- just a wonderful place to dine and shop. The hotel has a beautiful atrium, and the rooms are very comfortable. I particularly liked the setup for the safes. It was much easier to use than others I've had at other hotels. There was no microwave, which I thought was unusual, but as it turned out, one wasn't needed for this trip. The rooms are quiet, even though I was directly in front of the elevator. The only snag was housekeeping. Amenities and the cream-sugars for coffee weren't always refreshed completely. Made for a boring cup of coffee the last two mornings of my stay. Other than that, it's a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone traveling in the Orlando area. It's easy to find -- Sand Lake Road is a major road just outside of the airport, and the Hotel is a short distance from I-4 and the South Orange Blossom Trail.

If you are planning a trip to Orlandos major attractions take a moment and speak the the hotel concierge and get the hook up with the Time Share Tours. By taking the tour you will save lots of money on your family tickets..

The Florida Mall Hotel was a great place to stay while visiting Orlando. The free use of your own safe was a great surprise and very appreciated. The room was large with plenty of space. Now that I've spent some time in the Orlando area I can honeslty say my first choice would be the Florida Mall Hotel. The fact that the hotel is pysically attached to the largest mall in Florida was a pleasent surprise. The location to the air port,resturants and all of Orlandos attractions are priceless and a big bonus to the hotel. My stay at the hotel was with my 10 year old daughter and she slept very comfortable and liked the view of the hotel window and the swimming pool. However she was disapointed in the free television channel selection offered by the hotel.

The food court is affordable and offers a variety of foods usually available in a mall.

The Florida Mall Hotel was located within the mall so if you like to shop this is the place for you. The pool is warm, the staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. There are ample towels by the pool and in your room. It is spacious and close enough to attrations yet not so close that the traffic is constantly visible like on International Drive. The only problem we had was that the room keys would stop working daily and we would have to go to the front desk to have them reprgrammed but that was done very quickly. Another suggestion would be to emprove the business section by placing a computer in that area.

poor management

While most staff members attempted to put on a friendly face, it was pretty clear that there were serious management issues. Our room was not cleaned correctly 8 of 9 days. No soap no towels no shampoo...room not vaccumed, Iren did not work..was replaced with a "new" Iron but they are so cheap the ironing was a chore and left our clothes looking wrinkled no matter how long we ironed. Our Free shuttle to Universal seemed like a great feature. However waiting around for hours every day for a shuttle leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. They were almost never on time but more often well over 30 minutes late.

stores will deliver your purchases to your hotel

Vending machines were not kept stocked, we had to go to several different floors to get soda. They put us right by the elevator and there was a lot of traffic and noise. They did not use bedspreads and instead used very light colored top sheets which were soiled.

The mall was so close and it was really complete

The Florida Mall Hotel was awsome, the people working there was so nice to us, they made our stay very pleassant. I would absolutely recomend this hotel to a friend, the people at the restaurant was funny and friendly, they treated us really good.

Large Florida Mall attached to hotel and there are plenty of other stores nearby if shopping is a high priority.

Florida Hotel is very conveniently located short distance from airport and adjacent to large mall. Room very clean and comfortable, pretty standard furnishings/arrangement. Did have internet access but no printing services. Restaurant good but would have liked other in-hotel food options. During regular business hours there is food court in mall but late at night and early morning, little choice.
