Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Southern Comfort sandra, 2006-07-30 Right next door is a Melting Pot restaurant where fondue is the main menu. Quite gourmet!Dining on a well-stocked continental breakfast in homey comfort, drinks in the evening watching the sun set from the rocking chair on the porch, swimming in a clean pool, and a view of green grass and flowers made the stay extraordinary. A quality experience at a value price. This is not the more updated version of the Cabot Lodge chain, but in this case, older is quainter and better. Highly recommended. Peaceful... Score 1 out of 5 Terrible Anonymous, 2006-07-07 It took a long time to register even though there was only one person in line before me. The room gave the appearance of being clean but it smell of mold and mildew. The linens and bedspread were damp, the carpet was damp feeling, and the bathroom floor was sticky and slick. I know Tallahasse has high humidity but other motels deal with. If it had not been so late, I would have left. Score 5 out of 5 Great location. Robert, Orlando, FL, 2006-07-02 Before making the left turn, go past the hotel then turn, not before. The Cabot Lodge in Tallahassee was located in a very convient part of the city. It was near a mall, theaters, restaraunt, and church. I always pre-plan my stay based on how convenient the hotel is to shopping, etc. I was also impressed with the efficiency of the check-in and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of cable tv access. The high-speed internet was free so I was able to keep up with my e-mails. Score 5 out of 5 Lovely grounds, non-chain feel Heather, Orlando, FL, 2006-06-08 This was a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting FSU. It's right off I10 and a short drive to the university. The room I had at The Cabot Lodge was clean and comfortable of average size, with separate vanity area, table and 2 chairs. The old cottage look of the main building offered a huge, screened in porch with fans overlooking the pool and beautifully kept landscaping. I enjoyed my morning coffee here as well as my free glass of wine in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will try to stay here every time I visit my at FSU. Score 5 out of 5 Nice place to stay; good value guy, Dallas, TX, 2006-05-26 If driving, fill up before getting on the interstate as the prices increase sharply on the freeway. The Cabot Lodge is a very good value. We stayed there twice while traveling to and from Disneyworld. The main building/lodge has a covered porch that goes completely around it, with part of it screened in. Inside there are 3 roomy areas that include comfortable chairs/couches and tables in a lodge-like setting, one with a big screen TV. There are also two small private office areas where you can use the hotels internet/computer in one and telephone in the other. The continental breakfast is one of the best we've had. The rooms are fairly large, comfortable and clean. It was quiet both nights we were there; also, I noticed a security guard making rounds late in the evening, which made us feel more secure. There is ample parking. We checked in late in the evening and found parking close to the room both times. I believe this hotel is ideally suited to the business traveler, but was also great for our family of 5. It is very close and convenient to the interstate and has several gas stations and restaurants/fast food close by. I would describe the the hotel as cozy and comfortable, with attentive staff and nice ammenities. Score 4 out of 5 Great value for those traveling I-10. Barbara, Tyler, TX, 2005-12-26 There is a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts just up the road as well as a Cracker Barrel. The Cabot Lodge on Monroe in Tallahassee was a great value. The breakfast was very good and every request made to the staff was handled very well. We will stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 sta;ying at the cabot inn north david, Montgomery, AL, 2005-07-07 Tis is a pretty decent place. There are a lot of rooms. They give a free cocktail hour in the evening plus an expanded continental breakfast. If you are smart, don't make a reservation; get a booklet from a rest area with a coupon in it. Score 5 out of 5 quiet comfort mary, Madison, WI, 2005-05-30 as the wife of a very busy c.e.o. on vacation this setting provided the best respite ever..friendly, happy environment..but most important to us a placid atmosphere..... |
