Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great place to stay Roger, 2006-09-04 Just down the street is Capt. Jacks, they have an excellent all you can eat seafood buffet including crab legs. The Inn at St Thomas Square was very nice, we rented the three bedroom unit and when we arrived it was much larger than we expected. It was two stories plus a loft bedroom; I liked having the living area downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. It was also in a great location, you could walk to anything you needed, it was 1 block to the beach and only across the parking lot to various shops, go-carts, arcades and food places. Score 2 out of 5 Hidden expenses and rude staff. Anonymous, 2006-08-10 Minerature golf, fast food, wal-mart, sea food restaurants, beachThis hotel is very pretty, rooms are actually small appartments and prices per night are wonderful (if you don't add on the hidden expenses). After enjoying our vacation at this hotel and upon arrival at home we received a letter from the hotel stating that as part of the bill we also had to pay $45 cleaning fee and $5 parking fee. This was not explained to us, nor written anywhere at check in (if it was, we wouldn't have stayed there). I called the property managers and tried to get an understanding of this fee, as I felt it was unfair to be charged something that was unreasonable. In most instances, the cleaning fee is included in the hotel rate, if not it would be like buying an airline ticket and finding out that you have to pay extra to sit down during the flight. The front desk got very upset, became rude, insulting and defensive, then hung up on me. I am in the process of getting the amount disputed with my credit card company as I believe this is a trick on the hotel's behalf . Anyway, if it weren't for this financial matter, it is a wonderful place to visit, in a great location, with very nice rooms, a nice pool and is kept in good repair. Score 5 out of 5 Quiet and charming Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ, 2005-09-11 Lots of cool put-put golf. There is an island that can be reached from a boat taxi in the state park right down the road. The boat ride was cool.Great location across the street from a beautiful beach. The rooms are bright and spacious. However, be prepared for a cleaning charge and nominal parking charge. Score 5 out of 5 Very family friendly Bing, Atlanta, GA, 2005-09-05 The boad yard is a good place for dining, especially at night. If not dining, the view from outside is attacting. The Inn at St. Thomas Square is a good choice for 4-5 people who dont have big budget on hotel. Our unit is quiet and has good window view. No hotel staff bothering you in the morning. Consequently, however, no one cleans your towels and sheets, but you could take advantage of the washer and dryer in the room. The hotel room is equipped with full kitchen utensils. Bringing some seasoning, you could make your own meals. We had very good time there, and saved money. Score 4 out of 5 The Stuart's Visit - July 4, 2005 John, Charlotte, NC, 2005-07-07 The staff at St. Thomas is absolutely second to none. First rate all the way. The room was puny, but that was our fault. We asked for a studio and we got it. BUT....BUT... it had everything we needed and we're not the types to live in the room anyways. It was within a stone's throw of the beach across the street but we are big fans of St. Andrew's State Park and endured the 4 minute drive every mornig at 8:00 sharp when it opens so we could soak in the lagoon for four hours. Inn at St. Thomas is close to Zoo World (really cool) Pirate's something something mini golf (also really cool), Dippin Dots, Wal-Mart, Publix, Corn Dog Restaurant (cool), 25 minutes from Ebro (very cool), Boondocks restaurant (COOLEST). On and On. We WILL come back to St. Thomas. They were very gracious. Changed our towels and took out our trash and we reluctantly asked to check out early because of Hurricane Cindy and they did not balk or hesitate. I am telling everyone in North Carolina to skip Myrtle Beach and spend the extra two hours on the road (actually 3-1/2 but they'll never know with the time change) and go to Inn at St. Thomas Square in Panama City Beach, Florida. And, hey..... if you guys at St. Thomas are reading this and need a 'Jared' like Subway has to represent you I AM YOUR GUY. |
