A short car ride to the public beach where you can charge a cabana and chairs to your room.A great location. Very accomdating staff. Very fine Continental breakfast. Room was large and nicely furnished. Towels were large and soft. A pleasant surprise for a hotel in the middle of town. Score 5 out of 5 great value and location sandi, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-03-21 This was my first time in Naples and it was a perfect vacation. The Inn at Pelican Bay is in a great location- only a mile from Vanderbilt Beach. However you do need a car to get around. The rooms are large and comfortable and our balcony overlooked the lake. Since I was traveling with a girlfriend we needed 2 beds, the manager was acccomodating and moved us. Initially she said there would be an extra charge but she never did charge us. The price includes breakfast which includes belgian waffles and fresh strawberries, oatmeal and cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast and bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, juices and coffee or tea.We ate outside overlooking the lake. It was so beautiful- 80 degrees and sunny everyday. There is no restaurant in the Inn(there is a bar) but there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. Compared to other hotels in the area, it was a great value for the money. I would definitely go back.
