Lots of near by beaches.Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa was a great break from our Minnesota winter. Our room had a great view with balconies both in the bedroom and living room overlooking the harbor and marina. Both pools were wonderful with very attentative staff from the doorman and front desk to the wait staff in the outstanding restarant. We took a dinner cruise from the hotel that was great, went on a dolphin viewing trip and the concergice got us a better than market price on a day trip to Key West. This was a WOW! location. The carpet and sofa were a little dated. The rest of house keeping fine. Hard to beat the Ft Myers area. Sanabel and Captiva Islands are right next door. A definate repeat. Score 5 out of 5 Excellent attention to guests. Very friendly and helpful. evelyn, Chicago, IL Sanibel Island with its beautiful shells along the beach is just a two minute ride over the toll bridge. The outlet mall is just a three minute drive away. Nice shops. Great prices. Perkins restaurant is a five minute drive away. Has excellent econimical menu and nice waitstaff.Sanibel Resort was very comfortable. It felt like a piece of heaven with all the beautiful foliage, walking path, and lovely pool area. The location was perfect with the toll to sanibel island next to the resort. The air conditioning system was quiet ( something rarely found in hotels). The restaurants were very accommodating and the food was delicious. Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful Property Anonymous, Kansas City, MO Staying here gives you more options for dining, etc. while still being close to the beach and island. The Sanibel Harbor Resort and Spa was a beautiful site to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The room was luxurious and the hotel buildings and grounds were lovely. Right outside was the view of the gulf and Sanibel Island. We thought the price of valet parking was too high, but were offered the option of self parking. This resort has all the ammenities you are looking for and the sunsets are the best. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2007-02-23 Score 5 out of 5 Nic big rooms Alexis, 2007-02-14 Charley's Cabana Bar is a great place to sip a pina colada and watch the sunset. The rooms were larger than most hotels I've stayed at in this price range and they were kept very clean. We stayed in a Grand Bay room and there was a fabulous complimentary breakfast and hors d'oeuvres hour in the evening. There were lots of options of activities for adults and kids (our son liked the game room). My only complaint is the crib we were given. It had a crackly plastic mattress that I didn't think seemed safe and seemed to wake my son up every time he rolled over. Other than that the place was great. Score 5 out of 5 Review jeffrey, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-10-09 everything was great the food and service was outstandingScore 5 out of 5 Nice but costly Anonymous, 2006-08-12 As you are driving towards the resort, please note the restaurants on the way. It may be a smart thing to eventually take a short drive to one of them (if you want to pay less than $40-50 per person, for dinner). My stay at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa was overall a good experience. The rooms were spotless, nice and large. The scenery was beautiful (make sure that you get a room which faces the ocean). The amenities were plentiful and of first-class caliber (including a great fitness center and pools). The dining selections were also good (three restaurants on site). The only issue I had, was the price of the food. Breakfast cost me $27 dollars and dinner for myself and a friend ended up being $112. I even ordered a burger and drink via room service, which ended up being $23. So just think what it would cost a family to eat daily? This resort is top notch, but the price of it's food could be a tad better. Score 5 out of 5 Nice Hotel Alexander, Springfield, IL, 2006-07-29 Grocery StoreThe hotel was very nice. Located just prior to the toll bridge on Sanibel. The gift shop/ food etc. were a bit pricey but good. |
