All of the nightlife is a very short walk away such as Wet Willie's and many of the local party spots. The hotel is located right on the beach (short walk) on the main strip.

I am very critical of hotels and many aren't worth the money. However, I loved the Betsy Ross. The location is perfect and the scenery is to kill for. Many of the nightclubs are just a short walk away. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and really pampered us during our stay. Room service did an excellent job and kept the room very clean and comfortable. I will definately be visiting this hotel again.

A Beautiful Hotel

Lincoln Road is a short walk away. The hotel is really in the centre of it all.

The Besty Ross was amazing. A true Gem in the middle of South Beach. The best location and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my travelling friends from Canada.

great for party trip

All the good night spots are only 1 or 2 short blocks away...like litterally a 30 second walk.

The Betsy Ross is a great looking hotel with supperior service from the staff, any and all inquiries were answered and handled for us....great location on the stip right in the mix of all the action.

There are many good restaurants within walking distance. Drugstore is a few blocks. Deli is a block away.

This was our first trip to South Beach. We rented a car but you do not need one. Cab fare is $32 from the Miami airport. The Betsy Ross Hotel was a little disappointing. The elevator was not working most of our stay. The room was small but the bathroom was so small that you could hardly turn around in it. The inside shower curtain was moldy but they did replace it as soon as we complained. We wanted to use the in room safe but they did not have a key to fit it. We had to wait a whole day for them to get a key. They say this is a beachfront hotel when you really have to cross a street and a park to get to the beach. The beach and boardwalk are beautiful but families beware, many women are topless on this beach.

short walk to main drag

The Betsy Ross is in a great location and the staff was wonderful. Very helpfull. The atmosphere was very highclass and there were no kids. Sitting in front watching the passing parade was a treat, but bring your on booze. (two coffees and a shot was $17.00)The beds were small. Queen size beds would have helped. On our last day the only elevator broke, but the staff helped with carrying our bags. All in all, and compared to the other hotels near by, I would not want to stay anywhere else. I would highly recommend the Betsy Ross, and I would stay there again in a flash.

Great style doesn't need perfection?

The Betsy Ross looks like it was recently remodeled/renewed, while the base must be from the sixties I would guess. Lounge, pool, terrace are superb and radiate a very relaxed atmosphere. Our room was an interesting mix: On the one hand it had two big flatscreen TVs, iPod capable radio and very comfortable beds, on the other hand the doorknob of the closet would come off easily as it was only loosely screwed on. It's located at what I would call the quieter end of Ocean Drive. Right beside the action, the beach, the restaurants and the clubs, but quiet enough to get a good sleep. Absolutely perfect.

everything you want is within walking distance of the hotel

this hotel is at the end of ocean drive which was quiet compared to the rest of south beach // i liked that // great access to beach // the room was small and could have furniture arranged better to accomadate patrons// staff was very pleasant and friendly// nice place to stay at and will go back

Great Location

The tax rates are fixed from the airport to south beach. However, make sure you ask them up front so you can hold them to it. We received two different prices and didn't have the energy to fight about it.

You really can't beat the location of the Betsy Ross. The hotel is right on Ocean Drive and literally right across from the beach. Its great being able to go back to your room to use the bathroom while being a beach-bum. Downside, the hotel is very noisy. You will hear every late night group coming back at 3am, as well as the early risers a few hours later.

There is dining at the hotel, but if you are in the mood for other cuisine, there is a different restuarant every 3 feet

The Betsy Ross was a beautiful hotelright on the main strip. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was very cozy and clean. The hotel is across the street from the beach and starbucks. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Lots of shops on Lincoln Dr

The rooms are small but very clean. Let's face it you go to a hotel to sleep not hang out. The decor was wonderful throughout the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly.Great location to the beach, shopping and resturants.
