Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Horrible! heidi, 2007-03-08 Bahia Beach Hotel was TERRIBLE! Themanager was rude and obnoxious. The rooms were dirty and you had to ask fot towels, soap etc. Bugs were abundant. When we complained we were told to go to the beach!. Never again!! Score 1 out of 5 Poor business amenities Anonymous, 2007-03-02 There was not even a telephone, no towels, no soap....we unpacked and when we discovered no phone, no wireless and then no soap - I went down to the office...no one there - called number on door waited and then started using cell phone ot call around and find accomodations are midnight. Moved out and left another message on the night service. This is a bare bones place...run by a family and not suitable for the business traveler...we had to move in hte middle of the night and lost lots of previous time relocating, calling etc. Score 1 out of 5 Rough Anonymous, 2007-02-06 The Hotel was very dissappointing. It looked like it catered to weekly renters for apartmemnts. Both refrigrators were broke, there was no phone and we consistently had to ask for fresh towels. Score 1 out of 5 not a safe place Anonymous, 2006-06-26 While the hotel is close to a very upscale section of the beach, the actual hotel is a couple of blocks away from the respectable area of town. We actually cancelled our reservation upon arrival at the hotel and inspection of the site. The hotel itself had seen better days. The lower level rooms opened directly onto the street and several lower doors were padlocked. The second level rooms were dark and dingy, and while the harbour and the beach could be seen from the rooms, the hotel did not feel safe, so we opted to cancel and find another hotel. Score 1 out of 5 This is not a hotel. Anonymous, 2006-06-24 Ft. Lauderdale museum is an excellent rainy day activity. When I arrived, I found that this is not a hotel, it is a cheapo old run down apartment building with a few rooms for nightly rental. The rooms are furnished with 1970's furniture . I was very angry about this experience because I had told a friend to go there. She went the next day and she was appalled, and upset that the rooms didn't even have phones in case of emergency etc. It is about the same level of place as a cheap backpacker/youth hostel place Score 1 out of 5 Review Dee, 2006-06-01 Bahia Cabana was right down the street. Located in the Days Inn. They have live music every night and great food. They do not have high-speed internet connection and their wireless connection was very low from surrounding hotels. The floors were a mess, the bathroom had mold everywhere, nothing was clean, the sheets were dirty (you could tell because they were not tucked in and they were all wrinkly). This hotel was disgusting, I slept in my clothes and on top of the sheets. I was also too scared to take a shower. Worse hotel experience of my life! Score 1 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-04-27 It was more a residence hotel than a regular hotel. There was no reception area. The person on duty could be reached by calling a telephone number written above the door of a tiny room on the side of the building. I won't bother with most of the details but the room was dirty, I found the toliet had been used and left unflushed and tooth paste had not been cleaned from the sink. It was the single worst experience I've every had. Score 4 out of 5 right neighborhood Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-04-17 real close to beach.the room was spacious, and in the right area right by the marina and beach, the hotel is being upgraded. Score 1 out of 5 This facility is not a hotel, it is a dump! Anton, Long Beach, CA, 2006-04-08 We had no other csoise for the first night than stay in this hotel taht laks everything that makes a hotel a hotel. We informed the manager first evening that we are checking out next morning and we did. I have a number of photos of the discusting deatils, including a damaged drawer with dryrot and mold next to a rusty stove. The toilet was leaking to the tile around it. There was no curtain over the bathroom window. There was only on small hand towel, no phone or phonebook in the room etc. Score 4 out of 5 a deal but........ Frank, Richmond, VA, 2005-05-23 at the time we went, this was by far the best price for the location. It is not for elderly, a family with small children, or if you are particular. the bathroom facilities were functional but rundown. I have no idea what the sheets on the bed were made of, but were grainy and rough. A weak person would not have been able to shut the room door. You had to put your shoulder to the door. We spent very little time in the room, so for us it was fine. |
