Great offseason getaway

Just a short drive down the highway is downtown Naples with it's restaurants and outdoor bars. There's a ton to do and plenty to feast on. If you'd like, you're not too far for a quick drive to the everglades where you can ride the fanboats through the mangroves!

LaPlaya Golf and Beach resort is a great place to get away during their off-season because it's a great value for the money. We have stayed here twice now and always have a great time. The first time we went down, it seemed as though we were the only couple there. We had the pools pretty much all to ourselves, and there was hardly any one down on the beach...it was very romantic and quiet. This past time we went down, they had a few weddings going on and there was a bunch of little kids running around which we didn't expect, but it didn't put too much of a damper on the pool time. The food at the hotel restaurant is great! You can eat outside by the ocean at sunset...it's just a wonderful place. I would reccommend this place to anyone, if we get to go back, I'll request a stay in the beach house over the tower.

la playa resort was ok but i would not go back !!!!! THE SERVICE WAS VERY SLOW, THE FOOD WAS JUST OK, AND EVERYTHING WAS OVER PRICED !

Great Ocean Views

The area is filled with wonderful restaraunts but most of them are a short drive away.

Our intention for this vacation was to simply relax and enjoy the serenity of the ocean. Well, that is exactly what we got! Our room had spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico. The sunset each night was breathtaking. During the day, we were able to enjoy the beach, play in the sand, kayak, jet ski, paddle boat! What a week....! The tiki hut food and beverabe service was an added bonus....! A fun week to remember for a long time.

Relaxation

After taking my two daughters (ages 8 and 9)to Disney for 10 days, my girlsfriend and I were looking to get away for a few days to just relax. Not much of golfers, we were just looking for somewhere we could sprawl out by a pool and RELAX. This resort was everything we hoped for and more. Topped off by a full body message in the couples room and the unbelievable sun sets over the gulf, we both came home refreshed and ready to face the 'real' world again. Thanks to the staff at the LePlaya Resort, this was a trip to remember.

great beach

Beach was perfect, pool was great. Just be ready to tip for everything- this is not a do it yourself hotel. Rooms were beautiful, but not real functional: only place to sit to watch tv was on the bed, even though there was a couch table and chairs in the room also. I did enjoy my stay though the service was great.

Check-in was very poor. They me made wait for an hour because I requested smoking and was granted, but when we got there they told me it was now a non-smoking hotel. But they would allow me to smoke on the lanai. How nice of them.
