Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Wonderful experience! Lynn, 2006-10-16 Several fast food restaurants within walking distance. The Tahitian Inn and Cafe is an absolute gem! The room was very clean and spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was beautiful with granite countertops and the shower was spacious, had great water pressure and a full massage shower head. The bed was a little more firm than I prefer but none the less comfortable. Our room had a refridgerator and microwave and both were very clean. The grounds were beautiful. The architecture of the building truly makes you feel like you're in the South Pacific. Lots of terra cotta and arches. There were several water fountains hidden among the lush greenery and the pool area had hammocks, cafe tables and chairs. Very pretty. We only ate in the restaurant once for breakfast. It was delicious and good size portions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Score 5 out of 5 Great Honeymoon Ellyn, Providence, RI, 2006-07-22 There was just about every imaginable restuarant within walking distance. also there was Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, etc... We found some thrift stores about a mile up the road and for all people from the Norht East there was a Dunkin Donuts about 2 miles away. The Tahitian Inn was very comfortable. The room was always clean and smelled really nice. The staff was very friendly. They helped us with finding directions. The Room was a lot larger than we we anticipating. We had plenty of room for our belongings. Score 4 out of 5 pleasant stay Anonymous, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2006-07-17 Museum of science not too far away. Bring your own large towels for the pool. Lots of restaurants near by.The atmosphere was pleasant and our family enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We also enjoyed the heated pool. The blowdryer overheated and the fridge and microwave had difficulty working properly, but the staff was excellent in trying to fix these issues. All in all a pleasant stay for the price. Score 5 out of 5 Surprising for an Non-Chain Anonymous, Chattanooga, TN, 2006-06-14 Bush Gardens is very close by and plenty of nightlife within walking distance. The Tahitian Inn is nice and very surprising for a Non-Chain, independantly owned hotel. Arrived the same day as a Tropical Storm, but staff and grounds were great considering. Good location and freindly service. Rooms are basic and the carpets could use an update, but overall, you get what you pay for. Score 2 out of 5 Staff indifference Anonymous, 2006-06-13 west shore mall, international mallI arrived in the middle of a driving rain. The staff was sitting behind the desk chatting and totally ignored the fact that I was standing there waiting to check in. It took over 20 minutes to get the first room - and then we were told it wasn't ready even though it was well after their 3:00 check in. With 2 rooms to go - it took another 20 minutes. Meanwhile - a very loud and rude 'janitor' kept interrupting with questions to the person checking us in. The staff indifference wasn't an isolated incident - we had questions about the neighborhood, directions, etc. - we gave up trying. You also had to go outside in the rain to get to your room. The rooms are clean, but very average, but the rest of the hotel was very nice. We got massages at the spa and had breakfast at the cafe downstairs. Both were very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an inexpensive hotel in Tampa. Score 3 out of 5 Good Location and Value Robert, 2005-10-22 St. Petes Times ForumIts in a good location from the Forum and shopping around, but the rooms are very motel type and the beds are pretty firm.....the place looks nice and the restaurant was good. Good value for money, but not a top choice. Score 5 out of 5 Review Debra, Atlanta, GA, 2005-07-07 No review provided by user |
