This is a quiet and peaceful hide-away with clean and tropically furnished rooms within a great waterfront setting. It is ideally located on a deep-water passage to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Regular rooms and efficiency units available. We are 1 mile to Estero Island (Ft Myers Beach), 5 miles to Sanibel Island and 7.5 miles to downtown Ft Myers. Watch manatees play in our marina from your room. Heated pool and spa, marina, boat and fishing docks, gas barbeque, shuffleboard, cable tv, fax service, in room coffee. Anonymous, Miami, FL, 2006-04-23 There are restaurants down the block from the hotel and less than a mile on Estero that borders the beach. Wonderful for us since we didn't want to travel far to eat out.The room size was great for the price I received it at and the location on the marina was beautiful. It was less than a mile from the beach; perfectly located. The only problem I had was that, with an active two year old in tow, there was no top lock in the room that prevented my child from opening the door and walking out to the water in the middle of the night. To prevent this, I had to place the table from the room in front of the door so my child could not get out while we slept. Besides this small concern, the hotel staff was friendly and accomodating and I will gladly make another visit to their hotel again in the future. The price is unbeatable for the area and it was definitely very quiet and secluded, which is a welcome change from the busy hotels I've been to before. There are restaurants in every direction surrounding the hotel. For a first family trip, this hotel made it absolutely delightful. Our room was very small with only one double bed. The location was excellant being only a few minutes from Fort Myers Beach. The room was very clean and highly functional. The bathroom was exceptable. I would definitely stay there again. It was good value as the room rate was very reasonable considering the location of the lodge. Score 5 out of 5 Very nice visit! The Mariner's Lodge is conveniently located only a few miles from the bridge and is definitely an attractive option, as it is not very much out of the way at all, and you will save a bundle of money without loosing much valuable time on the islands. |
