Sunrise Suites Resort is an island paradise providing you with the luxury and convenience of your own condominium. Spend sun-filled days pampered by our warm and friendly staff. Here you'll enjoy the services of a Hotel with the comforts of your own home. Inside this gated resort, you will enjoy the lush tropical foliage that surrounds amenities such as our tennis court, gym facilities and heated swimming pool with spa. Smather's Beach, Key West's largest, is moments away. There you will find such activities as windsurfing, sailboarding, snorkeling and kayak or jet ski tours. Of course, you might also just choose to relax. Our elegantly appointed condominiums bring the tropical flavor of Key West indoors, and offer you the luxury of truly having a 'home away from home'. All condominiums feature two bedrooms, with a king bed in the master bedrooms and a queen bed in the second bedroom, and two full baths, hairdryers, televisions, telephones and data ports. The fully outfitted kitchen opens onto the living room, with bar counter seating between. From your balcony, you may be able to observe the daily goings on of the many species of birds that inhabit the Salt Ponds Preserve or the glistening seas of the Atlantic Ocean or both, depending on location. In either instance, we highly recommend packing your binoculars. Whether it be at the resort or on the beach, relaxing is an important aspect of the Key West lifestyle. You will find convenient bicycle rental available on the property. As our island is relatively small, approximately 2 by 4 miles, many guests find this their preferred mode of transportation. There is also conveniently scheduled motor transportation available to lively Duval Street and surrounding historic district. There is so much to see and do while in Key West. We are certain that you will enjoy it all the more when you come home to Sunrise Suites Resort. NOTE: Sunrise Suites Resort is a family-oriented resort and therefore does not allow Spring Breakers. You must be 25 years or older to check-in between March 1st and April 15th. Guests under the age of 25 will be denied check-in.

Unfortunately another family was in the room. After hauling it back down to the rundown building where the checkin was, we were rechecked into our dirty room. I realize that this property was older, but at least change the sheets from the last guest that stayed. I personally felt dirty staying in the room, and my kids complained that the place was a dump. The tile was filtly and the carpet needed to be replaced. I made the kids walk around the room in their flip flops. Dead flowers were the decoration for the top of the TV in the living room area. Tape was on the back of the TV remotes. We called down to get a pot large eonugh to boil spagetti noodles they never called anyone. 30 minutes later we called again, and he rudely said that someone was on the way. 30 more minutes goes by and a non english speaking housekeeper shows up not knowing what we needed. She never did know why she was sent to the room.. we didn't speak spanish. The elevator smelled of urine, and we would rather walk the stairs versus riding the elevator! The pool was refreshing, but we didn't venture into the whirlpool due to the mass amount of bubbles. Bubbles represent oils from human contact. Proper chemicals fix that problem. I never felt safe while in the room. There was not a privacy lock from the inside, and after the clerk cut a key to an occupied room I wondered how many other people saw our room. I took our valuables with us when we were not in the room. I realize that the Keys are laid back, but this is just lazyness on the hotels part. Nice location and good value Score 5 out of 5 My review of Sunrise Suites Resort Anonymous, 2005-09-04 The Sunrise Suites in Key West were just as the picture in their website indicated. The suite was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. The bathrooms were spacious and well lit. Closet space was abundant. The property is located very close to the airport, but not areas of activity nor restaurants as it is located amongst other condo properties. It is said that a shuttle comes and goes on the half-hour, but in visiting with the staff, this is not a reality. They say that a shuttle is called and you have to wait up to 45 minutes for them to arrive. Guests must come to the lobby to request a shuttle and wait in the lobby until its arrival. So, we opted not to be at someone else's schedule and just rented a car to get around. Parking at the hotel, during off season, is plenty; however I question the abundance of parking during high season. Check in and check out were quick and efficient. We would stay at this property again. |
