Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Extra Charge Bruce The room was smelly and the carpet damp--they need to install dehumidifyers. Also, upon check-in, I was charged an additional fee of $3.40 for incidentals. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Howard Johnson Inn - Panama City Catherine, San Antonio, TX, 2006-03-15 A short drive brings you to the beach, there are plenty of dining options, although most places that weren't fast food were pricey. There are nightclubs, tons of stores and lots of friendly people. The Howard Johnson in Panama City was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter. There was a gazebo and pier and sand volleyball court, so there was more to do that I had expected. Hotel staff was very friendly, as well as other guests of the hotel we met. One short drive over the bridge and you're at the beach! Score 1 out of 5 No room at the INN James, Huntsville, AL, 2005-10-30 The Howard Johnson Inn Panama City did have my reservation but said it had been input for 10/22 instead of 10/29. Since I had my confirmation code KNZ17F they then said I did have reservation but they had no rooms, then they said they could give me a room with a rollaway. After 3 hours I was switched to another Hotel which I had to drive about 15 additional miles and was not located near where I wanted to be. I WAS VERY DISSATISFIED AND I AM REQUESTING A REFUND. THE MOTEL WE WERE TRANSFE5RED TO GAVE US A WAKE UP CALL AN HOUR EARLY WHICH RESULTED LEST SLEEP AND TWO VERY CRANKY PEOPLE. Score 4 out of 5 great business amenities Anonymous, 2005-09-17 I was satisfied with my stay at The Howard Johnson Inn. My room was clean and comfortable as well as quiet. The ammenities were acceptable and overall, I would recommend it to other travelers. Score 2 out of 5 Not so great Anonymous, Dallas, TX, 2005-09-11 My experience with this room was somewhat unpleasant. The room was old and unkept. The TV was broken, the maintenance was slow, the crowds were loud. There was a party outside of my room until 11 pm with a DJ, and people continueing on until 3 am. My curtains on the 2nd day were covered with "love bugs", that would crawl all over everything. I was mostly surprised to walk into the room and not only see the 2 queen beds, but a set of bunk beds as well. Overall, not such a great place. This was not the original Howard Johnson I stayed at. They "upgraded" me to the beach hotel. Score 4 out of 5 Great Atmosphere karen, 2005-06-18 This Howard Johnson Inn had many amenities in the room, such as blowdryer, microfridge, coffemaker, and extra sink separate from the main bath. We enjoyed sitting on the patio out back. The on-site restaurant seemed to be a local favorite for lunch/brunch...we ate there every morning. The pub was a great place to hang out in the evening and also seemed to be a local favorite. The deck overlooking the bay was really great, or you could enjoy live entertainment inside on certain nights and free appetizers every evening. All of the staff at this Howard Johnson were friendly and helpful. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Howard Johnson Inn - Panama City Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2005-04-29 Not the best location or atmosphere. |
