There were so many shops within walking distance.A variety of restaurants and movie cinema's. Just about anything that you would want!

This hotel was located on the beach front. Which was perfect. There were a large number of restaurants and shops close by to visit . A lot of things were within walking distance. The view from the balance was just perfect! We would go back there again and again! The room was more than large enough. There was actually sleeping space enough for six people comfortably. The kitchenette was just great and it had a dining table & chairs which was great for eating in our room.

What a Mistake

Let me start by saying the condition of this hotel is both run down and quite dirty. The rooms are falling apart, they look as if they havent been repaired or remodeled since the 80's. I will say the pool area was very nice but the rooms were run down wrecks. I would like to compliment the counter staff for doing everything they could and so did security for us.

1.- They had Red Lobster a couple of miles and food and staff were excelent.

Back door were broken, reported but never came to take care of it. Did not feel secure in the room.

There is a large pool and nice area for laying in sun and swimming. There is a bar right off the pool.

The Hawaian Inn had a nice enough pool area although the indoor pool area was dirty and in need of a new decor and repair. I had ask for a kitchen because I always take country hamm and breakfast items to cook on vacation. I had carried biscuits which I had only a microwave. I accepted that and decided we would have to have toast instead. But then the one skillet that was provided would not fry a egg. It stuck really bad and when I ask the maid for another skillet, She just informed me They are all like that. She didn't even check to see if there was another. I had to ask for a dishcloth and kitchen towel every day. Then what really got me, our commode stopped up and we called 3 or 4 times that day for someone to come and fix it and they informed the maintenance man had not came in. I guess he didn't come in at all because he never came in. After numerous flushes, it finally unstopped. The next day it did the same thing and the maid came to clean and she left without cleaning the stopped up commode and still no one came to fix it. Also this is not counting the big roaches we had to visit us while we were there. To sum it all up, I won't be visiting The Hawaian Inn anymore.

There are several fine restaurants within a short drive,and entertainment of various types are also in the short drive area

Had few minor problems at checking into the room.No hot water and the sliding door to the balcony was stuck. Maintenance was advised and the problems were soon fixed. The staff was very cooperative in fixing the minor problems and even assisted me in carrying my baggage to the room. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NO RESTAURANT OR BAR ON LOCATION,THAT IS OPEN FULL TIME. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY SATISFACTORY. The bar and restaurant are open on the pool deck as long as there are people there.The room was oceanfront but not near the pool. For a pool view it must be requested. My overall experience was very enjoyable.

Great For Kids of All Ages

Close to Daytona International Speedway, Ocean Walk Shoppes and Convention Center,Daytona Beach Pier, Numerous Soveiner Shops and Resturaunts, Lagoon Water Park and dozens of Go-Kart- Put-Put Places!!!!!!!

Altough my husband and I did not take our two year old daughter with us on this trip, I would definately take her next time. The Hotel was FABULOUS!!!! The mini golf course was fun not only for us, but for lots of small kids that were also visiting. The Tiki Bar/Resturaunt was directley out our (Glasswall) Door, the pool was about 5 ft away from bar with the ocean just steps away. At night it was very peaceful, No Loud Music or yelling. SPACIOUS/COMFY ROOM and LARGE Bathroom and cute kitchenette made it Home Away From Home. During ou stay we had to call mantinece- due to a stipped seal in the shower and a microwave switch that got stuck. They responded within MINUTES and had it all fixed, they were VERY COUTEOUS and PROFESSIONAL about it. Guest Laundry Servies were located down the hall- and were good. The in HOTEL Dinner Show was a Blast- lots of audience participation for young and old. It was a little pricy and the food wasn't that great--HOWEVER THE SHOW WAS ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF THE HOTEL!!!!!!!!! OVERALL RATING * * * * * (5Stars) Location was about 8 minutes from Daytona international Speedway and about 5 min from Ocean Walk Center and Pier. For the money it was an UNBEATABLE/PRICELESS Vacation :)

The Hawaiian Inn is in need of sprucing up. I realize that this area was hit prety hard with the hurricanes, so maybe this has something to do with the condition of the hotel. The room was fairly comfortable with a kitchenette. The carpets are in dire need of eithor a good shampoo or replacement. Was disappointed that they had no internet service, most of the hotels now have Wireless service. The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't try the coffee shop or the "Luau" dinner. The poolside bar and cafe was ok. The oceanview was nice and although we did not use the pool, it was clean and well kept.

Excellent location, close to the speedway, dining, and of course you're right on the beach. The room was clean, but this hotel is in need of upgrading both on the outside and inside.

We have stayed at many "hotels" in Daytona. If you are looking at the lowest possible price on the ocean, most are just cinder block dormitories, with no service, an untended pool, and maybe a donut. The Hawaiian Inn was very economical but a great value. It had many more amenities (gift shop, two restaurants, poolside restaurant, etc.)Plenty of staff with great spirit, and even security staff!

Great View/Renovation/Reasonable

The clubs are on Seabreeze, North of the hotel on A1A.

The staff was very good and the view is great, right on the Atlantic. The rooms were clean, just OK, but did include a kitchenette; stove, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and fridge. The hotel is going through a renovation (12/2005) of the halls, going from carpet to finished concrete. The restaurants were mostly closed, the pool bar closed part of the time; there were only 8 guests. The property may be transitioning to condos, but it will still be available as a hotel. Was one of the least expensive properties on the ocean at the time. Good location about 5 minutes from the clubs and downtown by car. 5 minutes the other direction to the pier. May be better during busier season when more is open and after renovations are complete.
