Formerly Wellesly Inn and Suites Tampa/Westshore. On or about November 3, 2004, this property wil officially become an Extended Stay American Hotel. ESA Tampa-Airport-North Westshore Blvd is an all-suite hotel strategically located in the Westshore Business District, close to downtown Tampa, one mile from Tampa International Airport with free airport transportation, and two miles from Legends Field and Raymond James Stadium. Guests can walk to restaurants and shopping malls in the immediate area. Queen Studios and King and Double Suites with fully equipped kitchens and large living areas with work desks, high-speed internet access and complimentary continental breakfast. Beautiful courtyard pool, fitness center, and picnic area available for guests to enjoy. The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers. One pet is allowed per guest room. A 25.00 USD per day non refundable cleaning fee (not to exceed 75.00 USD) will be charged the first night of your stay. Pets must never be left unattended. The pet owner will be responsible for any damage caused by their pet. Guide dogs are always accepted.Housekeeping: 7 nights or more - housekeeping services are provided on a twice-weekly basis. Refresh service (replenish towels, empty trash, make bed with existing linens, replenish amenities) is provided on the 3rd night and full service (includes changing of bed linens and vacuuming of room) on the 5th or 6th night. This cycle continues to repeat itself, as the guest says longer. 4-6 nights - One refresh service is provided (replenish towels, empty trash, make bed with existing linens, replenish amenities) on the 3rd or 4th night. 1-3 nights - No service. The Florida Aquarium
See more than 5,000 aquatic animals and plants that call Florida home at this entertaining and informative attraction. The exhibits follow a drop of water from the pristine springs of the Florida Wetlands Gallery, through a mangrove forest in the Bays and Beaches Gallery, and out onto the Coral Reefs, where an impressive 43-foot-wide, 14-foot-tall panoramic window lets you look out at schools of fish and lots of sharks and stingrays. Also worth visiting are the educational "Explore a Shore" playground, a deepwater exhibit, and a tank housing moray eels. You can look for birds and sea life on 90-minute Eco Tour cruises in the Bay Spirit, a 64-foot catamaran. The aquarium also offers a Dive with the Sharks program (tel. 813/367-4005) that gives certified scuba divers the chance to swim with blacktip reef, sand tiger, and nurse sharks for 30 minutes. The $150 price tag includes a souvenir photo and T-shirt.

Tampa Museum of Art
Located on the east bank of the Hillsborough River, next to the round NationsBank building (locals facetiously call it the "Beer Can"), this fine-arts complex offers eight galleries with changing exhibits ranging from classical antiquities to contemporary Floridian art. There's also a 7-acre riverfront park and sculpture garden. Call or check the website for the schedule of temporary exhibits. However, if you have time for only one art museum on your trip, skip this one and head to St. Petersburg for the more innovative Salvador Dalí Museum.

Henry B. Plant Museum
Originally built in 1891 by railroad tycoon Henry B. Plant as the super-chichi 511-room Tampa Bay Hotel, this ornate building is worth a short trip across the river from downtown to the University of Tampa campus. Its 13 silver minarets and distinctive Moorish architecture, modeled after the Alhambra in Spain, make this National Historic Landmark a focal point of the Tampa skyline. Although the building is the highlight of a visit, don't skip its contents: art and furnishings from Europe and Asia, plus exhibits that explain the history of the original railroad resort, Florida's early tourist industry, and the hotel's role as a staging point for Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War.

Very nice hotel for the price that was paid

Mall food everything is close

The ESA was a great hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The only issue that I had was that my air condition in my room didn't work. Just the act of having to pack everything that I had unpacked was what I hated. I was uncomfortable because I was going to be there for 4 days and I had a lot of packing to do. However my new room was great and and the hotel was too. It is definitely worth another trip.

CONVENIENT TO SHOPPING, PARKS, AND RESTAURANTS.

A TWENTY MINUTE WALK TO ONE MALL AND A TEN MINUTE WALK TO ANOTHER. FREE PICK UP AT AIRPORT. GOOD RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA. A NICE PLACE TO STAY WHEN ARRIVING FOR CRUISE THE DAY BEFORE DEPARTURE.

Surprisingly Large, very nice rooms!

This hotel has just completed major remodeling. Everything was brand new, walls freshly painted ,new bathrooms. It contained full size refrigerator, 32 tv, recliner, sofabed, king size bed with elegant comforter, 2 phones, stove top, dishwasher, coffee pot & coffee, desk/kitchen table & more. Lovely room, spacious & GREAT value for the money. Also, free parking while on vacation and free transportation to/from airport which was 5 minutes away. Couldn't have had a nicer stay & will definitely use again!

lot to offer for the money/nice location

Two malls are so close it is a short drive or a nice walk to them. Many restaurants are on location at the Malls as well. Many other restaurants are within walking distance. Down town is only a short drive for the aquaruium and St. Pete Time Forum.

The ESA Tampa-Apt-N West Shore Blvd was clean and comfortable. The room offered a lot compared to other hotels near this price range. The full Kitchenette was clean and usable, even to prep a full meal. Shopping is so close ,two malls are right there. Tons of restaurants are close. Downtown is a short drive. I had several questions for the staff and each time they attempted to help me. I would stay here again for any thing I was doing in this area.
