Wall mart across the street. Stadium within one mile.

This was the worst experiance my family and I have ever had at any hotel. If we had not paid already we would have prefered to sleep in our car. THe rooms were dirty. We pulled out the bedside table to plug in the clock and there was a dirty sheet thrown under. We had two rooms both had holes in the walls, Tubs so dirty and rusty you did not even want to take a shower in them. My brother had 3 people in his room but they only got towels for one. He had to walk over to the office in the morning to pick up more towels. In both rooms the dead locks on the doors were broken. I felt awful because I am the one that booked this hotel(only because it was less than 1 mile from the stadium). I will never make a mistake like that again.

The Tampa Days Inn is a deplorable hotel!!! Lets start with the check in/arrival. As I arrived w/my son and approached the reception desk, I was greeted with "Do you have a reservation?" Wow, I thought, not even a "good afternoon" or "how are you doing today" Being that we had just come off a 7 hour flight to watch my beloved Buccaneers play the final game of the season, I relegated my decision on the service for later on. As I checked in and received our room keys, I was "mapped" to my room. Room #1506!!! Please remember this room, you will also be able to differetiate it based on the broken door handle. As I peered into the front window, I noticed some indescribable stains on the back of the curtains. Wow, indeed! I opened the door to a normal facility, or was it? Like many times before, I took off my shoes to relax and noticed my feet stick to the carpet!! How disgusting! I quickly informed my son not to remove his shoes and keep socks on the entire trip. I then went to the bathroom and washed my feet, putting on my shoes thereafter. Great, at least we were walking distance from the stadium and tomorrow was another day! As I was awaken around 9:00am by the cleaning crew, I requested through the door a late room service. After we got dressed and left for the 1:00pm game, I went to the reception area and requested a second time that my room please be touched up. What a game, the Bucs dominated and we were happy to enjoy such an achievement. As we returned to the hotel, and tried to open the door, the keys were de-activated. So, we walked back to the front of the hotel and requested that the keys be re-programmed. After walking back to the room, and opening the door, what did we find? "Who has been sleeping in my bed", I was guessing it wasn't little red ridding hood. My room was still the way we had left it. No problem, I called the desk and asked for the housekeeping crew to stop by my room and leave some new towels and make the beds. I was assured that the crew was still available and took my son out to dinner. When we arrived back, you guessed it, no service. "Wow", again I thought. I called the front desk and thanked them for having the room taking care of, and they told me I was welcome. Imagine there suprise when I said, "they never came back!" I was told that something would be said to the crew but in the mean time, no dice. "Great", I thought, then I asked for some new towels to be delivered so we could get up early,take our showers and catch our plane the back to California. When the hotel personnel arrived with the towels, I greeted her with a "hello" and she just grunted. "Wow", all this effort and on a smoking break. Must have been since she had a cigerette in her hand as she handed me the towels. Later that night, my son and I decided to go to the vending machines and get a soda and a candy. "Wow" again, how about only getting diet coke and stale candy. Now, obviously, I am not from around this part of the U.S. but i'm guessing it must be pretty hard to make a profit with this kind of service and facility. Good luck to them, as for me, the next meeting of a life-long dream will not incorporate the Days Inn at Tampa.

The hotel was very old and dirty. The carpets were very stained and the bathrooms smelled musty. I would have moved to a different hotel had I not only stayed one night. I was unhappy with my choice, and will not stay there again unless I know for fact that the hotel has been completely redone.

The adjacent restaurant was a very nice place to unwind at the end of the day. The well known chain Bennigan's) was more than I expected for a Days Inn.

The room was adequate, although I was somewhat disapointed that some of the lighting didn't work and the remote was not fully functional.

There is a large shopping area across N. Dale Mabry Highway, with the Sweet Bay grocery, several restaurants (oriental, Quizno's and BBQ) and even a K-Mart if one doesn't mind walking about a quarter mile! Room was quiet considering the adjacent highway traffic.

My stay at Tampa Day's Inn Airport was reasonably satisfactory from the standpoint of basic hotel amenities , but with some frustrations as well! I liked the in-room refrigerator with large freezer space and microwave. On the other hand the in-room coffee maker did not have an adjacent electrical plug except right near the sink. Other wall outlets were broken and/or loose, posing a hazard to use. The divided bathroom was nice but the hot water was negligible my first night. I believe maintenance did fix this somewhat upon request. This hotel had no elevator, but only stairs to the second story. I was in a new knee brace and had to transport my luggage up the stairs. The desk clerk did ask if I wanted a ground floor or handicap room. I had asked for a room with a pool view, which I received, however it was of no use as the pool gates were locked every day by 6:00 PM so I could not use the pool anyway! This seemed odd for a hotel with not one, but two, pools on site. There was a wonderful grocery store across the highway (Sweet Bay), and I was able to get some nice things there; I even bought some specialty items I shipped back home.

The Days Inn was the most horrible place I've ever stayed. I was in town while attending a family wedding. The rooms smelled like urine and smoke eventhough it was none smoking. The shower head fell off and to top it all off used condoms were left in the room! The only good part is that the room was located right around restaurants and dept. stores.

The hotel staff were very accomodating, courteous. The room did require a vanity area as my previous experiences with DaysInn across the country, the vanity was separate from the bath room to enable two people to prepare for the day at the same time.The room location was great, poolside, access to the parking area was great and away from any traffic noise. Location was great, dining and shopping close, though it did require a vehicle to get anywhere. But our stay was comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Our major complaint is the very poor maintenance of the property--the grounds,pool and the building, inside and out. 1. frayed carpet at entrance and bath 2. corners of wallpaper fraying 4. concrete walks broken in places, or poorly repaired 5. pool not usuable, scum on the bottom Hotel staff was helpful. Restaurants nearby. This hotel is close to Tampa airport.

Everything on the main street is there, but very commercialized- all of your typical in every city in the U.S. No real character- defintely have to have a car.

The only negative aspect of the hotel: they showed on a map of the hotel beverage areas on each of the buildings- these were only ice machines. I had to walk across the property to get a bottle of water. There was another machine closer to our room, but it was in the pool area which was locked up at night. Otherwise, the staff friendly and the hotel easy to find. A typical motel type, but clean and upkept.
