The Hotel Monticello of Georgetown provides delightfully intimate accommodations with wide-ranging features that are refined, convenient, and comfortable. The hotel has been completely renovated to provide all the amenities that you expect, and many more that may pleasantly surprise you. Spacious all suite accommodations make it a pleasure to relax after a long day of business or touring the museums and monuments of Washington. Two-story Penthouses are available for those who need more space, and in most suites, the sofa can be converted into a queen-size bed for additional overnight guests. Two-line phones with dataport and voice mail, a small business center with high-speed Internet, and meeting facilities make staying in touch or staying productive amazingly simple.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 wonderful staff Anonymous, Newport News, VA great food and shopping, all walking distance in heart of Georgetown.great hotel, perfect location, great attention to comfort details....nice towels and linens, shoe shine service, a call from the desk after check in to make sure the room was ok. Score 4 out of 5 First Impressions Anonymous, New York, NY, 2006-10-28 There is unlimited and wonderful shopping, dining and sight seeing steps form the front door. This small and charming hotel is perfection in terms of location but the lobby and reception area are tired and in desperate need of a face-lift. The elevator is awful and I feared my ride up to my room not knowing what I'd find. To my pleasant surprise the room was enormous, clean, well appointed and more than satisfactory. If you can get passed your first impression it's worth the visit. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, Hartford, CT, 2006-10-10 Walk a few blocks on M Street to Dean and Deluca's for a change of pace lunch or dinnerThe Hotel Monticello is a boutique hotel located just off M Street in the heart of Georgetown. The suites are spacious and very comfortable. Great dining and shopping are just around the corner from the hotel. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-10-02 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Great Location Anonymous, 2006-03-07 French restaurant very close by...and we saw several Washington DC notables dining there.Great location within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Room was very large, suprisingly so. There was some climate control issues, the heat stayed on more that I would have liked. They are doing some maintenance/building next door, but it didn't disturb our stay at all. Score 4 out of 5 Location isn't everything Anonymous, Oakland, CA, 2005-11-16 The front door bangs all night; outdated brochures; no bath mat; room not cleaned upon 4pm return; no room service; The location is great and front desk personnel good but even if the City is full, the room rate is excesssive. Score 5 out of 5 Quite and convenient Robert, Atlanta, GA, 2005-11-09 Lots of Georgetown's best restuants. The Monticello is a small first class hotel. The rooms offer a setting room, large walk in shower and good work space. Score 5 out of 5 Great location jonathan, Bermuda, 2005-04-10 The hotel was perfect for our week-end break. There is no restuarant or bar at the hotel - but the restaurants and shops of Georgetown are on the doorstep. The sights of DC are a cab ride or an enjoyable walk away, and access to the metro is good (but a short bus ride away). The staff were very helpful, and the rooms large and comfortable. We will return. |
