Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Good Value Hotel weimin, Los Angeles, CA Must have a car to get to eating establishments which are many on Powers Road, the main highway that is easily accessible from the hotel.Airport Value Inn near Colorado Springs Airport is a very good value for someone that wants to be near the airport but yet very accessable to the main road to downtown or to the Interstate. The Complimentary Continental Breakfast is very extensive and hearty including all the cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit selections and breads. There is even a reasonable gym with treadmills and weight training. The rooms are comfortable and ample sized with daily newspaper and free Wi-Fi in the room. Well worth the money! The only possible drawback is that being near the airport, there is no food or services nearby. Therefore, it is imperative that one has wheels to get to eating establishments, which are about 10 minutes away driving. Score 4 out of 5 Far From Things in COS Anonymous, 2006-06-02 Have a car if you're staying here. This hotel is very close to the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, but not close to downtown. There's a few eateries located walking distance from the hotel (they practically share the same parking lot). There's a chinese restaurant, a pub, a sandwich shop and a dairy queen. A gas station is located right outside. The hotel service was good. A lot of military folk were in the hotel. Score 4 out of 5 close to airport and highway systems Caren, Savannah, GA, 2006-03-15 In a pinch, the Chinese restaurant next door has pretty good food and the owners are very nice. This is a "plain vanilla" hotel...adequate rooms and fairly clean although there was some maintenance that needed attention. The staff was friendly and helpful, newspapers were delivered to our rooms every morning and there was a complimentary light breakfast. Unfortunately, there were few dining options within walking distance and no pool or restaurant in the hotel...also no elevator to the second floor. I did find a decent Chinese restaurant(closed on Sundays) next door. For military, however, it is very convenient to Peterson Field Air Force Base. You can walk to the gate. It is also very easy to get to a highway going to Denver or downtown Colorado Springs , the Air Force Academy and the airport. A rental car is essential in this location! Score 5 out of 5 Friendly and Quiet Richard, Portland, ME, 2006-03-12 Convenience Store w/gas, fresh coffee, soda, beer, snacks. Sandy's Diner-huge breakfast- 6 egg omelettes, huge pancakes. Small mall w/pharmacy, bar & grill, etc. Airport-10 min., Peterson AFB-5 min. Major shopping malls-10-20 min.(there's one with ice skating rink!). Major attractions were within 1/2-1 hour. The Airport Value Inn and Suites was a nice place to stay. The location was relatively close to the Colorado Springs Airport, Peterson Air Force Base, Diner, Convenience Store with gas pumps, Small Mall and a view of Pike's Peak. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, TV, desk, coffee pot, hair dryer, room to hang clothing and luggage stand. The vanity was separate from the bathroom which made getting ready for our adventures easier. The bed was better than most hotels I've stayed in. The hotel offered extended living quarters with kitchenettes and had a laundry room. The staff was excellent and courteous. We did ask for an iron/ironing board and had it in a couple of minutes. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends. Score 5 out of 5 Great Value Victor, Denver, CO, 2005-09-04 Gas station close by for ammenenities. This hotel was a great money saver for us for the area it was in. Took a little extra time to check in but they were pretty busy at the time. Score 4 out of 5 Okay for the price Lance, Denver, CO, 2005-07-09 Overall I would rate it as avg. I had booked two non-smoking rooms w/ two double beds and there was only one available in non-smoking so we had to choose between a n/s room w/ 1 king or smoking w/ two doubles and I was down there for a sports tournament w/ kids that needed two beds. Ohter than that it was fine for what we needed. We only stayed one night. It is fine for a short stay, I would upgrade for a longer stay. Score 5 out of 5 friendly tami, Washington, DC, 2005-06-24 enjoyed our stay, the staff was very nice and the room were very clean. |
