Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ Clint's Bakery has a unadvertised deli downstairs if looking for soups, sandwiches, and bagels.Score 5 out of 5 very family friendly Anonymous, Providence, RI Lodge provided transportation to ski area and shopping. We booked 3 rooms for family ski trip over New Years. We all agreed it was a great choice. The staff were very accommodating. They even allowed us to print our boarding passes without any charge. We were concerned that bad weather would prevent us from arriving so we called and they allowed us to come in early. They also allow dogs and even dogsat while we went to dinner. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations - We were surprised to learn that a breakfast was included in the stay. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate was always available in the lobby. Our only complaint was that although the rooms were clean - the comforter in one room needed to be replaced and behind and under the beds needed better cleaning. Also, we didn't realize there was a cost per day for the dog. (our fault too for not asking) We all agreed that we've love to return to The Lodge and Spa at Breckenridge. Score 5 out of 5 Great winter retreat Debra The nightlife of Breckenridge is just down the hill and you can see the town and the ski resort from the lodge. The Lodge and Spa was a wonderful place for my husband's 50th birthday. The staff was wonderful and the amenities were great! Score 5 out of 5 Great Hotel in Breckenridge Lisa, 2007-02-26 This hotel was great. Check in and out was a breeze and we even were upgraded to a bigger room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a very laid back hotel. Most of the staff are in street clothes and have their dogs with them at the hotel. It is rustic, but clean. They have a shuttle that will take you to and from town which was extremely helpful as we did not rent a car. The views are amazing. Score 5 out of 5 Get Away from the Low Life Richard, Detroit, MI, 2007-02-23 The Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge is a wonderful mountaintop retreat. You can feel the everday concerns of the real world evaporate as you rise the mountain to access this lodge. The outdoor hot tubs overlooking the mountain range and under the stars enabled us to ski the Rocky Mountains 5 days in a row. A well-equipped athletic club helped keep my All-State teenage daughter in shape for her upcoming track and field season. My son loved the large pool and I liked using the sauna and steam room. My wife appreciated the fireplace in the lobby and the many nooks available to read a book or play checkers. We enjoyed many of the other included amenities as well, like wireless Internet access (in the lobby) and continental breakfast. If the lodge had better upkeep and maintenance - things like the room ceiling fan didn't work and there wasn't an individual room heating control - this would be an outstanding property. It was a great value for us. Score 4 out of 5 Nice Hotel Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-02-06 As for eating, the Village had quite a number of restaurants to choose from. Our favorite was the Cafe Alpine which is a tapas place and the food was good especially the Seafood Rosti. The skiing is also great at the Village. We enjoyed it immensely.I liked that the hotel had a swimming pool, 2 outdoor hot tubs, a steam room, exercise room and other spa amenities. The room was reasonably clean but the pillows were not comfortable. The humidifier was to loud. The restaurant had good staff personnel which were very pleasant. The location was quite a distance to the village where all the shops and restaurants were located. Overall, the hotel is okay. Score 5 out of 5 The Best!!! kerrin, Boston, MA, 2006-12-11 Lots of happy hours and 2 for 1 dinners at almost every eating establishment and there are lots to choose from!!!The lodge and spa in Breck is by far one of the most beautiful and best kept secrets in Breck, five stars!!! Score 5 out of 5 Excellent couples getaway Kara, 2006-11-11 Take advantage of the shuttle. The entire base of the mountain is great- you will be happy wherever you eat, shop, or walk around. I recommend Crepes a la Carte (it's a little stand on the main street next to Ullr's sports bar- the crepes are TERRIFIC!)My boyfriend and I came to the Lodge and Spa to get away from the chaos of our schedules and we couldn't have felt more away from home, and relaxed as we did. Our stay was perfect. The hotel's convenient shuttle service to and from the mountain base was an unexpected but very welcome ammenity. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the Luxury House because of over-booking and it was incredible! The furniture and ambiance was so welcoming and comfortable. The fireplace was great as well. We had a great, romantic weekend! Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-11-05 No review provided by user |
