Only negative is the indoor parking situation which waas very tight to maneuver, but we were gald we had it. Score 5 out of 5 Very friendly staff Anonymous, Denver, CO Great location if you want to ski.The staff was extremely helpful and polite, from helping us check in to finding a restaurant. It was a very pleasant stay. Score 5 out of 5 Great Experience phillip, Dallas, TX My wife and I enjoyed the walk each evening to some great restaurants just two blocks away from the lodge. The Great Divide Lodge was a great place to stay. Room was spacious and comfortable. A short walk to the lifts made it very convenient for my wife's first ski trip. We both enjoyed the short walk to main street each evening for shopping and dining. Score 5 out of 5 Close to Slopes Pete, Washington, DC The hotel was great, they made it easy to wake up and ski. The in house ski shop was competively priced and convienient to all our needs. If you are looking at other places, this is the one. Score 5 out of 5 Great location - great service - poor upkeep of property Patrick, Nashville, TN, 2006-12-20 This hotel has an unbeatable location for skiing in Breck. Literally across the street from a ski in/out parking lot, from which you can ski downhill to the Peak 9 lift. So it's literally ski in/out. The staff was very friendly, and the room was very comfortable. The only problems were that the hotel has an old design, with a lack of upkeep in the hallways. Common areas were ok. They have a weird parking garage/multiple elevator setup that makes navigating around the hotel a pain, but again, you're paying for the location. Would recommend for that reason. Score 5 out of 5 Great Place to Stay Doug, Dallas, TX, 2006-11-26 The town of Breckenridge, CO offers great shopping and is just a short walk from The Great Divide Lodge. We walked into town each afternoon to take advantage of the shopping areas and great food located just around the corner from the lodge. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Great Divide Lodge in Breckenridge, CO. We would certainly recommend this place to our friends and family. The convenience of the Ski rental shop and it's short distance to the slopes was a plus. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and everything was very clean. We would definetly stay at this lodge again. Downtown Breck is only short walk away.Score 4 out of 5 Fun w/out Frills Anonymous, 2006-04-19 Two block walk gets you to Blue Moose(small downtown eatery)that's great "locals type" place for breakfast! Not everyone wants to go for $15/buffet that's offered w/in GDLodge....so this was fresh alternative. The Great Divide was somewhat showing it's age,w/respect to ski lodge battle scars;however, friendly staff and their efforts to keep it as clean looking,as possible, made big difference! Halls& rooms "dark& dingy";need for more frequent pick up of room service "stuff" that people leave outside doors. The staffing was most likely reduced(end of season);those that were there, noted to be "working very hard"....cleaning etc...not showing any "down time"...(that's great ethic to see)!! Rentals w/in Lodge and walk across street to lifts.....could not be much better! Score 4 out of 5 My review of Great Divide Lodge Anonymous, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2006-02-25 Near everything you want to be close to.The Great Divide Lodge is a great location. Very conveient to ski area and town, all within walking distance. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The only drawbacks are the elevators, if you stay above the 7th floor you can take up to three to get to your room. The bed is rather hard, if you don't sleep well on the road, ti maybe a problem. |
