They served a very affordable, delicious lunch buffet. The management was very courteous and pleasant. There is a wonderful 2nd hand shop just a few minutes away with great, quality finds.The Best Western Aspenalt was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room itself was large and well-thought out. I was particularly pleased with the number or lamps throughout the room. My husband and I are both avid readers and we liked the fact that there was plenty of reading light, mostly rare in this level of hotel. The town of Basalt turned out to be quaint and fun and I would happily stay here again. It's about as close as you can get to skiing in Aspen, without paying an arm and a leg for a hotel room. The price was fairly inexpensive. Ski rack in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast. The outdoor hot tub came in handy after a long day of snowboarding. Wide variety of restaurants within walking distance and also many shops, etc. - a quaint little area that was fun to wander around.
