Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 A nice place to stay. Robert, Chicago, IL, 2006-09-06 Being on Rt. 24 makes very easy to get to anything !In the morning it`s great to go down and have a cup of coffee,a roll and or a nice breakfast while reading your paper and it`s all free. It`s been very nice! Would I stay there again, you bet I would. Score 1 out of 5 Not Worth It! Anonymous, Denver, CO, 2005-12-26 Our stay at the Colorado Springs Travelodge was one of the worst experiences we have had. The bedding was disgusting and had many cigerette burns in it. The bathtub also did not hold water, you could only shower. Especially stay away from room 216 as one wall borders the stairwell and there are three fire doors right outside of the room that made for nearly zero sleep. We were so tired and ill from the smell that we checked out early. But, buyer beware - you cannot get a refund even if you are *forced* by the circumstances of the hotel to not stay for your entire stay. So, we spent what you would at a B&B or better hotel for one night of no sleep because we couldn't get a refund for the second night. But, we were much too ill to stay any longer. It is also located in a lower rent area of town. It backs up on a junk yard so there was also excessive noise from the neighbor hood adding to the uncomfortablness of the hotel. Score 5 out of 5 Very clean and hospitable Anonymous, Rio Mayo, 2005-08-27 Close to the Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Flying W Wranglers, Starbucks, local grocery stores, Walmart, Seven Falls. The Travelodge was very clean and the staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make it better for you. The breakfast bar had lots to offer, except tea wasn't offered, which would be a nice additive for those of us who don't drink coffee. The only thing that could be improved, would be to have softer beds. The location was REALLY nice for all of the local attractions. I would stay there again and recommend it to others. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Miami, FL, 2005-08-13 close to attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak Railway, Cave of the WindsScore 2 out of 5 mediocre gloria, Ontario, CA, 2005-08-07 Don't go to Castaways for a meal. The portions are very small and the price is vey high. The room was dank and the fire detector was in-operable. It had a baggie over it, and had no batteries in it. The breakfast dining room had very little to choose from and not displayed very convently. Over all an experience we would have gladly missed if all the other motels in the area hadn't been full. |
