Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Not what I expected. Yuriy, Omaha, NE, 2006-08-07 There are a few restaurants around including the diner up the street that had good and cheap food for almost any taste.I've been to at least 50 different motels and let me tell you, this was the most discusting one yet. There was tons of mold growing in bathroom, when I walked over the carpet with my wet feet from the shower I had to get back in to the shower because it seemed like I could grow vegetables on them with all the black soil stuck to my feet. Free high speed internet??? Cable TV??? Air conditioning??? --- None of the above!!!!!!!! I'd never stay there again even if it was free! Score 4 out of 5 You almost get what you pay for Matthew, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-06-09 There is a supermarket across the street that has all your basics. If you need 'real' coffee like we did, Starbucks is a short drive away on Federal and 27th I think. This was the cheapest motel we could find and in certain capacities it provided value for money. The rooms were clean enough and the location was central enough for my wife and I to get everywhere we needed to be . Aspects of our stay that were less than pleasing include how profoundly uncomfortable the beds were, the inability for us to receive a Wi-Fi signal until we were moved to the room right next to the main office (and even then the connection was a crap-shoot), and the relative seediness of the neighborhood (central and convenient - yes, but rather a dodgy part of town). I recommend booking just for a night and seeing how well you cope - there are a bunch of unadvertised cheap motels in the area that you might try your luck at if you decide the Valli-Hi is too sketchy for you after a night. Oh, ya, don't buy food from any of the take-away joints in the area (especially the Mexican places - yikes!). |
