You can take "blue go" shuttle service to all the casinos. They only charge $1.00 per person.

The Best Western Station House Inn, is a wonderful place to stay. We have stayed here more than 5 times. Included with each stay is a fully cooked to ordered breakfast, that saves you at least $20.00+ . If you take that out of the reasonable rates they charge per night, it's the best deal going, during the winter season. The rooms are comfortable, and clean. The staff is always more than helpful and friendly.

Best western is basically located between the heavenly gondola (and the gondola village) and lake tahoe (where best western offers a private access to the beach)

The Best Western Station House Inn was very comfortable and made our stay very much enjoyable! Our first impression into the room was 'wow, the cleanliness of it'. Every day the maids made the room immaculate. So it was nice to come back to the room after a long day on the slopes. A few downside would only be that the hotel had no laundry facility, and no mini kitchenette. In terms of the location, it is basically located between the Heavenly Gondola and Lake Tahoe itself. This is fairly convenient, but depends on the inidividual and their own activites. The staff were very lovely, they always tried to help in every way, whether it was directions, ordering a taxi, or supplying a internet cord. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was excellent. We were able to get a full hot cooked breakfast before hitting a day on the snow. The breakfast included coffee, orange juice and a break of your choice. Selections included: French toast, pancakes, waffles (all come with eggs + bacon/sausage). We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

MY BEST EXPERIENCE WHILE ON VACATION

I called directly to the front desk of the Best Western, and the gentleman at the desk was so helpful in guiding us to our destination and was happy to do it. I was treated so kindly and the gentleman at the desk made us feel so welcome to be in Lake Tahoe, when we got up the next morning I went to the desk to ask about the complimentary breakfast because we were starving and wanted a good hot sit down breakfast, I was expecting to be told that muffins, donuts, juice and coffee were available-not the case, I was directed to the restaurant where we were welcomed and so attended to, and was served hot pancakes, bacon, orange juice and coffee. Where they got that hostess I don't know, but if everyone could experience the sincere welcome we received and the wonderfull service they would never want to stay anywhere else. We could have stayed at one of the higher end hotels, but was trying to save money and plan ahead, this was the best experience of our trip and our accomodations and Lake Tahoe was worth it. If the word can get back to the staff of the Best Western I would love for them to know how much I appreciate the welcome and I will be back with my family next year.

The Best Western was very comfortable and the room was clean, location is good closes to all walking distance to the casinos, and lake and the mall.The breakfast is one of the best vaule with a great room too. Staff is very nice and helpful. Pool is clean and nice.

Ski lifts and casinos in South Lake Tahoe

Comfortable accomodations, great rate and a wonderful breakfast included in the rate make for a great value for a ski weekend.

Great restaurants close by.

The room seemed very spacious, I think this partially had to do with the fact that there was a wall size mirror on the wall facing you as you enter the room. They also provide a great free complimentary breakfast. Not a continental breakfast but a full seated restaurant breakfast, for free. Also it was in a good location. Far enough from the strip to be quiet but close enough to walk.

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times and found the rooms to be on the small side but well maintained. the staff is friendly and they offer a full breakfast with your stay. As with most hotels the noise permeates through the walls easily so I usually travel with a sound machine to filter outside noise. the hotel is off the main drag in South Lake Tahoe but it is only a 2 block walk to the heavenly gondola. This hotel is a good value with the free breakfast thrown in.
