Only 1 block from the Santa Barbara Harbor, the newly remodeled Colonial Beach Inn offers delightful accommodations at an affordable price. Our guests enjoy complimentary breakfast on our breakfast patio, and evening milk and cookies in the library around the fireplace. Our guest rooms have a bed and breakfast ambiance with colorful decor and a fresh clean feeling. The Inn is within walking distance to downtown, shops, theatre, and water sports.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Good small cage for couples Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-14 The beaches and parks are very near from this hotel, and the main shopping area is in about five minutes driving distance.Restaurants and bars were so exotic in downtown area. This is small hotel but the room was very clean and located just about a block from the beach. Also the staffs were friendly, it's little far from downtown but there are shuttle service from beach to downtown. If you are looking for some place for relexation for the family or having a good time with your girl-friend, this hotel could be a good choice for that. It is definitely worth your time! The Colonial Beach Inn was a quiet place. It had very nice features such as breakfast, wine and cheese, and milk and cookies at various points of the day. I'd definitely return. Score 2 out of 5 Nice Try, but No Cigar Vickie, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-08-30 The hotel is just 2 blocks from the beach! Which is absolutely beautiful! Along this main street are dining and shopping. I found a fabulous Italian Pottery Outlet...and on the Pier was a wonderful place to eat called Moby Dicks. Best dining and ocean views around! The welcome at the Front Desk was amiable. We arrived in time for wine, cheese and crackers, which was a very nice touch. Then a little later in the small lobby it was wonderful cookies and milk. These were excellent touches. Our room however was old...the bathroom was so small and ill equipped with satisfactory ambiance. It was old and out dated and way way way to small (Room #14) the whole room was just cramped. We had two double beds with a chair crammed at the foot of one of them. There was a vanity area that was cramped and if two people were there at it, it was over crowed. No airconditioning! The rooms were muggy and the air was heavy from heat and humidity (we were there Aug. 28-30th). We had a ceiling fan and a fan that was standing in the room (which took up any extra space) which added to the over crowding. Over all it was a Nice Try...but the room accomdations just fell short. |
