Jean, Oxnard/Ventura, CA, 2005-07-17 This being the busy season I thought I would have to take whatever I could find, and aside from High priced there was indeed not much! When I found the Ramada Inn room I was releived. Ever since I was a kid I remember hearing the Ramada Inn chain referred to as a reliable accommodation for families and the budget minded. We were very pleased with the easy to find location just a couple short blocks from 101. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. An onsite pool was bustling with kids. Next door is a wonderful Cajun cafe with great food, (but be warned it is spicy!)- The cafe is not a Ramada affiliate. Ramada Inn Olive Tree is a short distance from downtown SLO, where you can find movie theatres, restaraunts, book shops, coffee houses and great shopping. SLO is a college town and really buzzes with vitality. I will certainly keep RI Olive Tree in mind for my next SLO getaway! Score 1 out of 5 My review of Ramada Inn Olive Tree Mary, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-05-21 The service was terrible and the lobby was filthy. We did not end up staying because of the rudeness of the reception area employees and the upkeep. I will not ever stay here. Score 3 out of 5 A fair value for one night stay Anonymous, 2005-03-21 This is an older, low budget construction hotel. It seemed to be typical of many in the area. The room had a dark, musty feel with cheap furniture crowded in. Parking was very limited. Efforts to make it visitor friendly included a coffee maker and ironing board in the room. The rate was probably a fair rate for a college town. The restaurant next door offered homestyle breakfasts, friendly service and resonable prices. |
