This Motel 6 has recently completed its renovation as part of our plan to upgrade all our locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The San Luis Obispo North Motel 6 is centrally located halfway between beautiful Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. This location is close to California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), historic missions, a performing arts center and downtown. Also, outlet shopping, Cuesta College and Montana de Oro State Park are all located within 15 minutes and Hearst Castle is just a 45 minute drive away.

Score 5 out of 5 Clean and affordable jessica, 2006-08-07 1. There is a Denny's and another local diner right across the street from the motel that are perfect for morning breakfast and late night munchies. 2. There is a gas station right on the corner that is perfect for refueling before you get on the freeway. The Motel 6 San Luis Obispo North was very clean and affordable. It is in a very convenient location, as it is right across the street from two restaurants, a gas station, and down the street from two grocery stores. It is also one or two exits away from Pismo beach and downtown San Luis Obispo. It is also about half an hour from Morro Bay. They have a nice, clean pool; however, I would've enjoyed my stay even more if their pool was heated, or if they had a jaccuzi. I did enjoy watching the cable television. Overall I was very satisfied with what I got for my money; cozy rooms and a friendly staff. Score 3 out of 5 Good value Anonymous, 2006-08-01 We were here on a college hunting trip but ended up having a good shopping experience in downtown SLO. Shopping and dining are about 3 miles away from the hotel and 5 from Cal Poly. Our stay was comfortable and the room was clean, nothing fancy, a little noisy as it is right off the freeway but for the money it was a great overnite stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were about 3 miles from downtown San Luis Obispo. Score 5 out of 5 Review Charles, 2006-05-21 The caf next door has the best breakfast in town. There were two double beds, a night stand between beds. Dark out curtains. Chair with desk and drawers. Bathroom shower and area was very clean also. Restaurants and coffee shops are right next door. Starbucks a few blocks away. Score 2 out of 5 slo hotel Anonymous, San Jose, CA, 2005-10-09 there are several restaurants nearby that are great. a short drive south will lead you to pismo beach. The motel 6 was alright for the money..the only trouble i ran into was them not having a record of my reservation so they had to send me to another hotel. And the only room available was a smoking room. Score 1 out of 5 unbelievably unsanitary Anonymous, 2005-07-31 downtown SLO is just a short drive away filled with restaurant, shopping, bars, and the beach. This hotel's shower was disgusting and was shaped like a space orb. The shower head was encrusted with some sort of gross lime deposit and the pressure felt like being pelted with hail. The towels were damp and the sheets smelled. There were stains on the pillow cases. It was a disaster. Don't stay at this hotel. There's another motel6 just accross the road. Stay there instead.
