Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Nice place, but kind of noisy Anonymous, Portland, OR Santana Row (upscale restaurants and shops) is nearby on Stevens Creek Road, a short drive from the hotel.The Moorpark hotel was a nice hotel, but we felt that you could hear everything from what was going on in the hallway to the cars and trucks on the street. The pillows and bedding was very comfortable. The hotel was a nice distance from Santana Row. Score 5 out of 5 Chic comfort at its best joanna, Chicago, IL Valley Fair Mall and Santana Row are within a 7 minute drive from the hotel, as well as Great America. Santana Row boasts numerous shops, restaurants, and lounges and is a great place to go for day/evening entertainment.Our stay at the Moorpark Hotel was a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked into our room in the late evening to the time we checked out on a Sunday afternoon, the staff was prompt, attentive, and caring. The concierge helped us to find breakfast locations as well as any other retail place we wished to visti. In addition, we found the rooms to be chic and comfortable. The toiletries were Aveda products, a refreshing change from many other hotels similar to this size and pricepoint. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The duvet cover was a bit to heavy to use to sleep with, but since there was only one extra blanket in the room, my husband needed to use the duvet as a blanket. We found the underground parking to be a nice complimentary option, particularly during the evening when San Jose storms were at their strongest. The location was convenient to most major San Jose attractions. The hotel is clean and nice throughout! The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The next best thing to being at home. The hotel is located next to two major restaurants and across the street is a pizza restaurant and shopping center. I would highly recommend staying at the Moorpark when in the area!! However, once you leave the lobby, it is not a peaceful environment due to the high traffic location.We have stayed at other hotels in this "family" of boutique hotels and were very impressed by the rate for this quality of hotel. Other than the front desk manager, the service level was only average. We found our room to be very comfortable. The pool area was enjoyable, however, there was no staff monitoring the cleanliness of the pool deck/lawn chairs, so the trash piled up over the weekend. The location of the hotel is very close to the freeway, so you can hear the traffic as you lay by the pool. All in all, we would return for a quick getaway or it would be adequate for a business person to stay at.
