Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Review Kevin, Dallas, TX No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Good location, good continental breakfast Hermila, Los Angeles, CA The shopping mall is nearby and easy to get too. The airport and Great America are a short drive away. The first time we stayed at this hotel was because it was close to where we were going. We go to San Jose quite often, we continued going back because every stay has been a good experience, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good. The entrance to the hotel form Hwy 101 is kind of tricky because of the traffic but we found a way around that. We will continue staying there as long as the service remains as good. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Best Western Lanai Garden Inn joseph, Springfield, IL, 2006-06-27 The best Western Lanai was a bad hotel experience for me. I don't travel much so to stay in a hotel was suppose to be a treat for me. Score 2 out of 5 no service low class mike, New York, NY, 2006-06-05 vietnamese foodwhen i asked for my airconditioner to work they said it did,, then they told me they got a repair man to fix it,,, which it didnt work anyway,, i think he just wrote he fixed it and never looked because it was the weekend and he wanted to go on his own vacation!! so by the 3rd and final day a got my room changed to a room that did have AC UNFORTUNATELY it was across from the hotel service room which was blasting mexican music and so i didnt get any sleep in the early mornig hours at all which screwed my whole day! Score 2 out of 5 Voyager Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-08-23 There is a Denny's and small store just across the street. Freeway access is just down the block. The holtel in general was ok, but the facility bathroom was lacking in standards. The sink was just that a sink hanging from the wall, no shelfs or counter top for shaving, make up stuff. The exhaust vent did not work, but the staff claims it is just quite. I beg to differ. The sleep area was fine, no problems there. As far as the continental breakfast, the area was dirty, the counters sticky, not enought coffee for all the customers. Just poorly planed out compared to other holtels I have stayed at, very unhapply. Score 3 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-06-21 No review provided by user Score 1 out of 5 My review of Best Western Lanai Garden Inn & Suites Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-06-13 I actually did not stay at the hotel because after seeing it, there was no way I was going to stay there. Its in a very bad neighborhood and there were hardly any cars in the parking lot so I was not the only that felt this way. Score 2 out of 5 Too Close to Freeway! Evelyn, San Francisco, CA, 2005-05-15 We thought we were getting a suite with two separate living areas as we have kid. No such luck. One large room. No spa and the pool was so so if you could handle the sound of freeway traffic! Score 3 out of 5 A good place to sleep, but... Luke, 2005-04-14 I stayed here while I was interviewing at SJSU nearby, which appeared to be close by, but turned out to be more of a drive than I wanted it to be. It is right on the 101 and a major road, and the hotel is not particularly loaded with amenities. It is very clean and comfortable, and offers what it has. I definitely think garden is overstating it just a little bit, since the area around it, even the limited landscaping, is very much urbanized. I got what I paid for: a good night's sleep and reasonable nearness to where I needed to go. However, the continental breakfast is great and the free meal was a good start to my interview day. Also the staff is somewhat friendly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are looking for the bay area experience, San Jose experience, or any experience other than a step up from the run-of-the-mill motel stay. It is a reasonably good value for the price. |
