Sea world is not far away.Charming hotel in a very nice location. Rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need. Score 5 out of 5 Very good value Anonymous, 2006-09-25 seaworld & mission beachI had a very comfortable stay at the Bahia Resort Hotel. I needed to stay somewhere for a night in the area to which I've recently relocated. I found that my stay also provided me some much needed respite as well. Very family friendly, so had I been seeking a very romantic stay, I would perhaps have been a bit too overwhelmed with the family environment. However, that was not my intention so I enjoyed the laughter of children everywhere. Most staff was amazing, but the restaraunt should up the food quality a bit or really lower prices. Overall, however I was delighted with the quality to value ratio of my stay. I look forward to having an excuse to visit the hotel again soon. Score 5 out of 5 Nice Hotel Timothy, 2006-09-25 Walking distance to beach and dinning areas.Nice hotel and great location. Very close to the beach. Room was upgraded by hotel free of charge. Room was very big and comfortable. Score 1 out of 5 This hotel needs major remodeling. Ana, 2006-07-11 Sea WorldI liked the location of this hotel but, as soon as we walked in the building, the smell of cigarette overwhelmed us. We did request a non-smoking room but the odor was embedded on the sheets, couch, everywhere. I couldn't stand that my two children were in such a gross environment so we check out right away. Score 5 out of 5 Great location, good service Anonymous, San Jose, CA, 2006-06-14 The Bahia resort was great for a family. We stayed in one of their suites, which was incredibly roomy for 3 adults and one 3 year old. The room was clean, but definitely could use a little updating as far as paint/furniture/carpet, but considering that you can walk right down to the beach/bay, it was in great condition. The staff was very curteous and helpful. My favorite part was the location - minutes from sea world, and a walk down to Mission Beach and Belmont park (boardwalk type place). They have a nice pool and one restuarant on-site, but it is only a short walk to plenty of restuarants and stores. It wasn't cheap, but I'd stay there again! Especially for kids.Very family friendly. However I would make sure to get a newer room. Ours was pretty run down. Score 4 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, Tucson, AZ, 2006-05-27 The Boardwalk which is one of the major attractions in Mission Bay was within walking distance. The Bahia Resort was in a great location to Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The studio room was very large that had internet access which was convenient for my needs. The kitchenette with a full size refrigerator was basic but we were without a microwave for 2 days which we did not get compensated for. The restaurant food was not that great. It was the worst scampi my husband has ever had. They were very accomodating when we requested an additional night's stay. I would consider staying at the resort again. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-05-23 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful place kathy, Seattle, WA, 2006-05-22 the ocean beach is within walking distance, where there is a boardwalk for a couple of miles. If you don't like crowds, avoid it on the weekends. But there is a great carnival area there, also to help entertain the kids. Lots of shopping available for moms and teens, as well as fun recreational activities for the whole family. The hotel staff was very professional and acoomodating. We were a little dissappointed with the maid service, but this may have been because we were usually in the room when they came and they may not have been comfortable doing a thorough job while we were there. We stayed right on the beach, which was really unexpected and appreciated for the price. It was truly a very nice motel with good people. The bathroom was a little small, but clean. |
