Had forgotten to deliver some presents and the motel staff kept the presents for pick-up by a friend the next day. Score 2 out of 5 Need more help Donna, Salt Lake City, UT, 2006-10-22 The hotel was prettg good at check-in, they were friendly enough. Had a wake-up call the first morning for 6:30 AM, as we had a long drive to Weaverville ahead of us for a funeral. We started to get in the shower and, lo and behold, they had put no towels in our room! We called the front desk, and she asked if we could wait until 7:10 when housekeeping came in. I asked if they had any towels at the office, because we had to get ready and leave. She didn't know. She said she could call us back. She did call back and ask if we would come to get them. I explained that I was not dressed and asked when the Manager came in. She said he was there, but she did not know where he was. She then called again and asked my husband to come over. He said "sure, If I can come naked." They finally had someone bring them over afetr about 30 minutes. We were very rushed for time at that point. This is a very poor example of customer service in my book, and I will not stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. Score 5 out of 5 Pleasantly surprised... Deborah, Norfolk, VA, 2006-08-22 There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. All varieties and types of cuisines. Seafood, Bar-B-Que, you name it. The Lyons Restaurant was right on the compound with the hotel and it was open 24 hours a day. Lovely people at the restaurant. I enjoyed eating there. The Ramada Limited was anything but limited. I was very pleased upon opening the door to my room at the size and the accomodations. The bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a small kitchen area as well with a refridgerator. It would have been nice to have had a microwave and perhaps in the future they will incorporate a micro-fridge like the ones in my daughter's dorm room at college. There was plenty of space for storing clothing or what have you and the bed was extremely comfortable. I liked the desk and the sofa and I liked having a balcony but there were no chairs to sit on. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance and I took advantage of that fact since I had no personal transportation while I was there. My only real complaint was with my being a woman traveling alone and being dropped off by airport shuttle, I was given a room at the very end of the compound to which I had to carry my luggage all the way down and up the staircase. I was a little frightened because it was 12 midnight when I checked in and the corridor my room was on was very isolated. The rooms are outside, so anybody could have walked up on me and I doubt seriously if anyone would have heard any commotion should I have been accosted. Score 4 out of 5 Review tim, Ontario, CA, 2006-07-12 The Rusty Duck was great. We had dinner and drinks and a short walk to the hotel. The room I was in was located in the back of the hotel, next to the free way. Although it wasn't as noisey as I expected, there was the ugly view of a cement wall just outside my window. The inside had just been upgraded with new carpeting, bathroom/shower fixtures and was clean. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows are terrible. I had my own along, thank goodness Score 5 out of 5 My review of Ramada Plazas, Limiteds, and Inns Cheryl, 2006-06-07 Easy to get to - right off the freeway exit. The location for my purpose was excellent; however, the neighborhood was suspect after dark and I wouldn't be wandering around by myself. The hotel itself was excellent and the beds were wonderful; the decor was good, the room was large and well appointed. I would definitely stay there again for business purposes but would not consider it a destination point. The pool and jacuzzi were nice for an overnighter, although the jacuzzi was cool for my taste. Kathleen, Madison, WI, 2005-08-16 Easy freeway access to anywhere you want to go.like a lot of other hotels I cannot stand those rubber pillows. The bed, however, was excellent, very comfortable. The downside was the sheets, another cost-cutting measure many hotels have taken these days. Instead of a bottom fitted sheet, they tuck a flat sheet under the mattress, which ALWAYS comes undone. The mattress pad isn't so much a pad at all, just a thin layer of fabric that isn't strapped down either. So, if you're a restless sleeper, you'll be all tangled up in your bedding before you know it. Other than that, good hotel. Convenient location, and surprisingly quiet room even though we were right next to a major freeway. Room was spacious and clean. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Ramada Plazas, Limiteds, and Inns ken, New York, NY, 2005-07-27 hotel room smells. location of hotel is bad. neighborhood is not friendly. no refrigerator.not even a table clock.no telephone. I even used my cell phone to reach out to the front desk. let alone a fitness center. three star is a big cheating. your criteria is very low and very suspicious. I do not trust your rate anymore. ken lew |
