With 42 air-conditioned rooms and seasonal use of an outdoor swimming pool, we are the place to stay after a day of fun in and around Redding. Stardust Motel, in the City of Redding is situated in the center of California*s most pristine recreation area and has all the conveniences of a modern city. Blue skies are reflected in the majestic Sacramento River as it makes its way through the city from the heavily forested and snow-capped mountains, which surround this beautiful city. Less than an hour*s drive from Redding are lakes, waterfalls, State and National Parks, museums and gold rush ruins. They beckon you to experience this special part of the Golden State. Also, make sure you have enough gas in your car to last at least 15 miles.Stardust Motel was very uncomfortable! I was VERY dissatisfied with this motel. First of all, the air-conditioning wasn't even turned on when we walked into the room! So, we were staying in approxiamately 100 degree room. Even the outside air was cooler than our room. To make matters worse, the air-conditioning was very slow to cool down the tiny room. And, when we first walked in the room, the television was still on. Plus, there were no restaurants in that area, we had to drive nearly 20 minutes to a restaurant and shopping mall. Finally, there was a note on the mirror saying we had to turn of the air-conditioning and television when we left. There were no entertainment places around. I would definetly NOT recommend this motel to other people. The price was definetly not worth it and Stardust Motel is in a bad location.
