Score 5 out of 5 Review Timothy, 2006-07-16 The Sun Dial Bridge is excellentThe Red Lion Inn in Redding California was very family friendly. Their kids breakfast menu is a little overpriced so you might want to purchase a regular size and share with your children. The internet services in the check in area is $4.95 per 15 minutes of use is a little high too. The pool was great and very private. When bringing families, get the two queen size beds as the upgrade to one king bed may put you into a smaller room!! Also be aware that our rooms did not have a tub, only a shower. Nice in room coffee. The airconditioning was on all night and needed some fresh air. Staff was very attentive and responsive to us. The front desk clerk was a little slow in taking care of the paper work. However, a nother front desk staff appeared and moved the registration along quickly and smoothly. While the property is large, the trek to the room was pleasant if not a little long. When I got to the room, all was in order. The quiet surroundings enhanced my sleep. I awoke refreshed in the morning. Score 4 out of 5 Very Mediocer Kindell, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2005-11-16 If you are staying at the Red Lion in Redding, prepare to rent a car, and bring your ear plugs! The motel was more than 10 miles from the airport not to mention any points of interest, and although they offered shuttle service to and from the airport, I ended up spending over $30 cab fare for the points in between. I also had reserved a smoking room and was not given one. The staff was friendly enough but the motel was torn apart and noisy due to construction. The dining was CRUDELY overpriced, and as far as I know there was no continental breakfast...I also did not recieve my wake up call. Perhaps the Redding Red Lion should reduce their prices untill they get thier act together. Score 4 out of 5 The best in redding Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-10-01 resturants close to walk toI was overall satisfying I thought that the room eas a little small. The grounds were kept nice and the lounge was entertaining. However the only fancy resturant was closed down and the other resturant was marginal. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly and quiet Karen, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-09-11 Marie Callenders and Chevy's were close by.We spent one night in Redding as we traveled to Portland. It was the perfect place to stay as it was freeway close yet quiet without any disruption from freeway noise. There were numerous resturants within walking distance. It would have been nice to know that there was a wonderful shopping center only three blocks away. We did not find this out until 6am the following mornning when we were leaving. Score 3 out of 5 Red Lion Redding Anonymous, 2005-07-31 lots of restaurants and the mallWe have stayed here before, and it was great this time was disappointing |
