Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Reasonable HYOSENG, Burbank, CA KFC near the hotel is good. The staff was very kind and courteous. The location is near the downtown of Palm Spings. But I don't think that the hotel is so clean and maintained well. Though, the hotel is good for the price! Score 1 out of 5 horrible experience Anonymous, 2007-03-14 Horrible experience! Room looked like a party of 20 teenagers destroyed it room was disgusting. Next to trailer park. Was so disgusted i left hotel immediately went to complain at office but the desk clerk was not inside but outside smoking cigarettes staring into space. Score 4 out of 5 Budget-minded travel. Anonymous, 2007-03-12 Near downtown Palm Springs. The Cambridge Inn was adequate if one is budget-minded. The inn is fairly old and in need of rennovation or at least a good upgrading. Rooms were clean if a bit outdated, and some items one would take for granted are not included. None of the 2 rooms we stayed in had a clock-radio or even a clock. A request for a 8am wake up call failed to be honored. Unless you are very cost-concious, look elsewhere. Score 2 out of 5 My Last Choice Anonymous, Long Beach, CA, 2007-03-11 A long walk will get you to more restaurants and shopping. The Cambridge Inn, Palm Springs has seen better days. The staff was friendly and check in was quick and painless. The Inn was clean, but in need of renovation. Score 5 out of 5 Just Good Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-03-11 Downtown at night was so hot!!The Cambridge Inn was just good. The room was comfortable and the spa and pool were nice. Just, they made us waite for our towel for more than an hour and we had to call them several times because we had no towel at all in our room and we wanted to go to the pool. What I really liked the most though was the location, near downtown, 20 mins. to Agua Caliente Hotel. Score 3 out of 5 Near City Life Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-02-11 The Cambridge Inn was conveniently located less than5 minutes from downtown city life of palm springs. I enjoyed a good night's sleep, but that was all. The room was like a cracker jack box. Initially, I didn't notice the absence of the face towels. Later when I called the front desk to request them, I was irritated at having to go get them myself. I was floored! I wasn't impressd at all with the guest service. Also, I've never seen such a small television in a hotel. Score 5 out of 5 Review linda, 2007-02-11 the tram up the mountain was just a short ride through town. the palm canyons wre a short drive in the opposite direction. both attractions were fantastic but be sure to be prepared to spent alot of time at each place and be prepared to do a lot of walkingScore 2 out of 5 Rooms need facelift! Anonymous, 2006-12-29 Thursday night in Palm Springs features a street faire...its fun to be able to walk to town for this evening venue.Funky smelling rooms, like old cigarette smoke. Some rooms being torn apart and general feel that hotel neds a facelift made for a bumpy start to our arrival in Palm Springs. One of our rooms had gum on the night stand and the back door was open, which made me feel insecure about leaving our two girls in that room. Pool was coold and needed cleaning. generally a very low budget choice not really 3 star. Score 3 out of 5 In need of repair Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-11-12 Tram is short drive awaySafe area of town - it felt safe which is always important to me, although not near the convention center and a several block drive to downtown Palm Springs and short drive(1 mile) to Tram. Room in need of updating/refreshing. Bathroom in need of repair; old, cracked. Towels and linens clean (cheap, but clean), water was hot, water pressure good. Room was clean and of comfortable size (think standard size for 1960's room), not cramped, bed comfortable, TV worked. Nice courtyard/pool area. Reasonable place to rest and restore while visiting other places in Palm Springs. Given the locale, I was satisfied with the value. Score 4 out of 5 Nice hotel Margaret, Orange County, CA, 2006-09-04 The resturant accross the street was great, good prime rib.The Cambridge Inn in Palm Springs was a nice motel, easy to check in, great pool. The room was nice and had a small balcony with chairs overlooking the pool. |
