Two of the lamp lights didn't work and the ones that did had the dull glaring of flurescent light bulbs. The bathroom had not been appropriately cleaned. There was no remote for the televisiion. I will not stay at this or any Red Lion hotel again. We booked it because it was rated 3-stars, but the room was old and musty, not well-maintained, the vents were caked with dirt and dust, the furniture had many knicks in it, stuffing was falling out of the mattress. It was not a very nice experience; fortunately it was for only one night.; Score 2 out of 5 my favorite amenity was not useable Thomas, 2005-05-14 I travel for business regularly and the main thing I base my reservation decision on is the availability of a heated jacuzzi to relax in after a long drive followed by a day on my feet giving presentations. When I attempted to use the facility, the concentration of chemicals in the water burned my eyes within 30 seconds and sent me into the pool to recover. A passing hotel staffer asked me if the facilities were satisfactory and when I told him of my experience, he apologized but made no mention of correcting the problem, nor did I see any evidence of action to do so. Between having to pass by the kitchen to get to my room (a room that was a second try, because the first room actually had someone in it!), to being squirted in the face with an out-of-control shower head (I was standing by the sink), to the early hours of the lounge/restaurant (nothing but vending at 11:30 p.m.). I'll be checking out other options in the off-the-99 neighborhood when next I have to travel to Modesto! |
