Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Terrible Service janet, Philadelphia, PA The Ramada near Universal was very disappointing. The room was nice but our refrigerator was not working and we called for two days for a replacement that never came. When I finally got someone to come to the room they took it out, cleaned it and then brought the same one back still not working. When I went to the lobby and complained they brought a new one but once plugged in it kept going off because the electric was malfunctioning in the wall. Our clock radio would turn off and on at will and we felt it was somehow connected to the poor electric supply going into the room. The refrigerator problem was never solved. We asked for the parking to be taken off of our bill but was told he did not have the authority to do that but we could write a letter to the manager to see if he could do anything. That should not be my problem, it should have been taken care of right then and there. Also, the lounge was in the basement and on Friday night the 12th, you could hear the band on the second floor until 3:00 AM and apparently the 3rd floor complained as well but it was not stopped. I would not stay there again!!! Score 2 out of 5 Marginal Leo Incredibly slow elevator with no stair option. $12 per day parking. Score 4 out of 5 Nice hotel Anonymous Chinese theater is a quick cab ride away, also Univeral Studios is also a quick cab ride away, about 4 miles.Hotel was close to Kaiser hospital which was where I needed to be at. It's also about 1 mile from the hollywood strip. Hotel had a nice bar and looked nice from the inside. Neighborhood isn't the greatest but they had a secure parking lot. Staff was nice and professional. Only bad thing was my room smelled like it had just been painted. Score 4 out of 5 Good Transportation Anonymous, Springfield, IL Very close to Red Line which lead to Universal Studio, Hollywood Street, Union Station. Complimentary breakfast is good. Score 5 out of 5 Good Location Laurel, Wichita, KS The Grove, The Galleria, Santa Monica, Rodeo DriveThe Ramada in West Hollywood was a great hotel to choose. It was in a very convenient location to multiple tourist spots around LA. They were very helpful in helping us find spots that we wanted to travel to, and always were willing to help with any other question. I expected only a 1 bed in the room, when they gave us 2 which was a good surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good time in Hollywood! Score 2 out of 5 My review of Ramada Hollywood near Universal Studios Matthew, Uruguaiana, 2007-03-10 Free breakfast buffet-don't come too hungry! While the room was plenty big, it was old and had a peculiar smell to it. Score 4 out of 5 Met our requirements Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-02-24 Reasonably priced LA hotel for seeing the Hollywood sights. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable. However, the location of this site is not desirable. Also, there is no room service. Score 4 out of 5 Very helpful with local info! Drenda, Charleston, WV, 2006-12-30 Good location for our first visit to LA. Comfortable room and beds and excellent "Continental Breakfast"! Staff were friendly and offered advice when asked! Bathroom was cleaned and towels replaced everyday and the beds were made, so when we returned exhausted at the end of the day, we could just tumble into a nice fresh bed! |
