Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Comfortable for business or social amenities Norma, 2006-08-21 Shopping plazas are a short drive away - food stores. Clothing or gifts are much further away.Comfortable and friendly. My last day was spoiled by a couple of problems lateness of bellboy and driver to airport which was rather nerve wracking for me. However both late attendants were kind and helpful. No ATM in hotel area - you have to walk about three blocks - easy daytime walk. I had a second problem in that the spa services were not as complete as I would have liked: ex. no pedicure or manicure services. My particular needs as relates to the large bath and large room with desk and comfortable chairs and pleasant room decor are some of the reasons that I return. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Score 5 out of 5 Nice experience Anonymous, 2005-10-18 Walnut Creek shopping and restuarants just a couple miles away.VEry pleasant staff. Lovely room and amenities. Score 4 out of 5 Should include more Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2005-09-05 The Lafayette Park Hotel was very nice, however, for the price, it should have offered more. There seemed to be concessions in the room, but they were locked and we weren't offered a key. I woke up at 3am starving (it was my wedding night and didn't eat much) and we couldn't get to the food. I hadn't thought to ask for the key upon check-in and they should have offered it. I also felt they should have offered free parking. It's not even in the middle of the city, it's got a lot of space around. In addition, we were in a position where we unexpectedly needed internet access. You had to PAY for internet access in your room or on the computer they had locked up on the 2nd floor. I was shocked by this, as I've stayed at much cheaper rooms that offer free internet access. In fact, they all do. The room was spacious, comfortable and nice. |
