A 2005 President's Circle Award Winner, the Travelodge of Auburn is a newly renovated property located on I-80 in the historic city of Auburn. Auburn is famous for gold panning, antiques, river rafting on the American River and wineries. With easy access on and off Interstate 80, the Travelodge of Auburn is conveniently located to several shops and restaurants which are within walking distance and open 24 hours. Friendly and hospitable hotel staff. Very competitive and low rates with quality accommodations in the vicinity.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, Atlanta, GA, 2007-02-08 The restaurant next door has the best Mexican food and huge Margarita's. Next door to that is a great family style restaurant you name it they serve it. I had a juicy prime rib.The room clean and comfortable, it met our needs with a small refrigerator and a microwave. The bath towels were super white, not thick but very clean and fresh smelling. A plus for us was the many places to go eat, many within walking distance. we will visit again. Score 5 out of 5 great family value Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2005-12-31 We had Mexican Food one nite. The restaurant is next door, It was excellent and they have a children's menu. They even seated us quickly even though we had 9 in our party.I have 2 children and these accommodations were what I was looking for. Restaurants near by. Staff friendly! Score 3 out of 5 My review of Travelodge of Auburn Harry, Denver, CO, 2005-04-24 Auburn Best Western is a good, middle-of-the-road hotel. It is neither a high-class hotel no is it a dump. The rooms are acceptable in size but could use a desk with Internet hook-up rather than providing this option on top of the chest. There is Ethernet cable connection for the internet which is acceptable and was easy to use. However, an upgrade in this area to wireless, would be desireable. The Continental breakfast provided is also acceptable and the area is clean enough early in the morning but gets a bit "grungy" toward the end of the breakfast time after the guests have managed to leave their mark. It would be nice to have some limited periodic clean-up of the breakfast a couple of times during the morning. The motel does offer a small work-out facility which I did not use on this trip. There is also a pool and jacuzzi available, which I did not use. The greatest drawback of this establishment is the lack of business services (i.e. Copying, printing, FAXing) I needed to make some copies of a couple of computer files which I had placed on a floppy disk, but they had no facility to make such copies for me. Overall, my stay was acceptable and I would recommend it for the value and its convenient location. There is no dining facility at this hotel but there are several restaurant options close by. |
