Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Basic accomodations for basic prices Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2006-11-05 The Ramada Antioch is your basic hotel with basic prices. Rooms are fine, elevators are slow, so if you have a lot of luggage, get a ground floor room. Be careful though, as many rooms face the parking lot and very busy roads. The room was big and OK - small 14" tv. Bathroom was dingy, needing remodeling soon. Excellent location with very closeby amenities - restaurants, stores, Mall, movies, there's even a Carrows next door. 24 hour security in parketing lot to keep out riff raff. Score 5 out of 5 family friendly Nick, 2006-07-15 A huge outdoor mall, shops and restaurants right across the street. Fast food restaurants ( more than one choice) right outside the parking lot. Miniature golf/arcade about one mile down the road. Easy access on/off freeway. The room was small but clean. The money went into the most important things. Great shower massage and wonderful bed/ Plenty of counter space / great TV / good AC / quiet, no noise through the walls. Score 1 out of 5 Would not recommend- TERESITA, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-02 We were visiting family in the area and needed only a one-night stay. This was the only hotel in the area that had a vacancy. The front desk staff was very pleasant; the hotel was in a busy area- but we were not distracted by the neighborhood noise or traffic. We were however very dissappointed in the condition of the room. While generally clean, the room needed a good facelift. The paint was old; drywall was coming off around the wall edges- most likely due to the vacuum cleaner hitting it daily. The carpet was pretty worn; the pattern was actually worn out of the carpet. The sheets were quite thin- & should have been recycled a long time ago. The A/C was a window unit; there wasn't a 'low' fan setting- so we had to turn it off at night- otherwise we would not have gotten any sleep. My husband, luckily not me, did get "bites" in bed the one night we were there. When using the shower; it seemed that if any other hotel guest used their shower, the hot & cold setting that you set for yours would greatly fluctuate. In the future, when visiting our family, we would be happy to travel further away & get something more decent. Upon checkout-we did notice that this hotel was independently owned- so may not be part of the corporate standards. (I hope that's the case; because if not, we would not stay at any Ramada in the future). Score 3 out of 5 in and out Anonymous, 2006-02-23 shopping centers, mall, restaurants and fast food...very easy freeway access.a place if you are looking for a quick stay. it has a mini-fridge which is very nice instead of lugging a cooler around, especially since i flew and couldn't bring a cooler.the room's a/c was broken and couldn't get the a/c to turn off or the heater to go on. Nice to have an ironing board which i took advantage of for some business events. very close to shopping and food. Score 1 out of 5 I can't believe this was a Ramada Inn Juvi, Columbus, OH, 2005-07-26 This hotel just plain old sucked. It was very decieving cause the outside was nice but enter the doorway and it was a different world. First for being a non smoking establishment the employees were smoking and there was cigarette butts and holes throughout the complex this is not what I'd call a family friendly establishment. The hallway was just nasty , there was trash all on the floor the walls were filthy. The room was disgusting. The bed was broken and there were cigarette holes in the pillows and the bedding. The toilet wouldn't flush and when they were called to fix it they couldn't even do that. The bathtub was rusted and full of calcium and lime deposits and the plaster was falling down from the ceiling and walls. The staff was not hospitable, except for the check in lady, they were rude and they acted like they didn't want us there. They wouldn't accomadate our asking to be moved into another room but I guessed it wouldn't have mattered since the other family we were vacationing with said their room was no different from ours. They had a deceptive banner hanging from their front door stating there was hi-speed internet in the rooms but that was not the case it was only in the lobby. When the vending machine took our money and we went to them for assistance we were told that it was not their problem and to leave them alone and go away.To say we were dissatisfied is an understatement. Maggots live in better accomadations then this place. I've stayed at many Ramada Inn's before and this just ruins my confidence and loyalty to them. We took pictures and are sending them to their headquarters along with our complaint of this specific establishment. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone I may also suggest taking it off your site so no one else will be as disheartened and so poorly treated as we were.
