The Anabella is an extravagant Old California Spanish mission-style hotel located directly across the street from Disney's California Adventure and on the Anaheim Convention Center Campus. The Anabella Hotel incorporates architectural elements that draw upon the heritage of authentic California missions. Elegant eaves and overhangs and rounded roof tiles accentuate the thick, whitewashed adobe-like walls and squat arches. You are welcomed into an enchanting oasis of palm trees and blossoms skillfully placed to create private enclaves throughout the expansive grounds.
Our pet policy is that only dogs are allowed. On January 2, 2007 the patio bar at the Tangerine Grill and Patio will begin construction to enlarge and improve the area. This work will not affect the day to day operation of the Hotel and is expected to be completed in approximately two months. The work area will be closed off and the existing bar will be moved to another area of the patio and will continue to service guests. The Anabella Hotel starting on February 1, 2007 will be charging $10.00 for parking, per vehicle, per night.

Score 5 out of 5 Comfortable and Stylish Kelly, Fresno, CA, 2007-03-13 The Anabella was great. The bed was a stylish 4 poster king pillowtop bed with lots of pillows and extra ones in the closet. There was a table and 2 chairs, TV and armoire. The wooden blinds were attractive and kept the light out. It had a separate room for the tub and toilet so one could shower in private and another use the sink and mirrir area. Nice fridge and closet with a safe. The pool was nice size and the hot tub was hot. There were towels on every chaise lounge and plenty of lounges. The only drawback was the parking. We paid $10 for it and it was hard to get out of the car after parking as the spaces were small. In the morning the maids were very loud, very early. If you put the fan on on and not on auto it will drown out the noise but not be to loud for sleeping. There was a restaurant, but we did not eat there. There were 2 other restaurants with in a half a block that were good, Tiffy's and CoCo's. You could walk to California Adventure around the back of the park and enter through the Downtown Disney area to get to the parks. A short walk, but not really well lit at night. There was a shuttle, but you paid a fee and it took you to the front area of the parks every 20 minutes. You can but tickets on site for the shuttle. I will stay here again. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Score 2 out of 5 No sleep at the Anabella Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-03-04 The location of this hotel is great -- very close to the parks and Convention Center. However, even in reading bad reviews that the entrances to the rooms were motel-style (cars parked right outside your door), I didn't understand how noisy this hotel would truly be. Aesthetically, I still have no real complaints as the room and grounds looked very nice. The real problem was that I was awakened almost every hour beginning at 3 a.m. by people above me stomping around (PAPER-thin walls) and by people talking loudly outside my door. Then the housekeeping staff started up at around 7-something, speaking Spanish very loudly. It literally sounded like they were in my room, the insulation and sound-proofing were both so poor. After a long day in the Magic Kingdon, all I wanted to do was catch some uninterrupted Z's. I don't think that's too much to ask. I placed two calls to the front desk, but really what can they do? Also, there was no light fixture in the shower area, so you are forced to bathe in the darkness. And the room smelled stale and felt muggy, regardless of using the A/C. I will not be staying here again. Rooms (& hotel) are dated and although some have been upgraded, mine felt 'old'. Restaurant was marginal at best and except for breakfast was empty. Lobby area is very well done, cozy & inviting. Overall, my stay was comfortable Score 5 out of 5 Great for families Anonymous, 2007-02-20 There is a restaurant in the Hotel and two others right next door.I would highly recommend the Annabella. Each time we visit, they always provide the same stellar customer service. Their staff is very friendly and I appreciate the room size with two kids. Loved...having a separate room for the kids at a great price! Also loved that it was less than a 5 minute walk to Disneyland! ;o) Score 5 out of 5 Very Family Friendly Valerie, San Jose, CA, 2007-02-05 I didn't use my car the whole time I was at the Annabella nor did I use a cab. We could walk to a few close diners that were basically a few footsteps away from the hotel. It was a nice change and both diners had great food. One even had homemade ice cream. Yum!The Annabella hotel was by far one of the best hotels by value that I have stayed in. The front desk was very friendly and answered all questions to the best of the knowledge. We had room service one morning that was great and also ate by the pool another day for lunch. The food was heavenly. The room was very large and the bed was extremely comfortable and they had extra pillows that made the sleep all the more comfortable. They had some very nice ammenities in the room such as a coffee maker, a large magnifier mirror, plenty of towels, a hair dryer and iron and iron board. There was a couch in the room to sit also. I felt they could improve upon the shampoo and soaps that they put in the room. We forgot ours and the little bottles were not of high quality and certainly not enough for two people. The maids were also non english speaking and if you asked them a question they appeared like they didn't understand you and also they never were able to help...they would just say front desk like they were afraid to talk to guests. I found that annoying. The hotel is very close to Disneyland and was very convenient for walking to the Downtown Disney District. They had great shuttles to and from Disneyland. I enjoyed my stay at the Annabella hotel and in the future I will try to book a room there when needed. If it stays the same quality I see no reason to change hotels. The pool was wonderful.
