Here in Modoc County, surrounding the Best Western Trailside Inn in Alturas, is the history of the American West. From the days of discovery and exploration to the glory days of gold and the dawn of the modern West, the story is here, recorded in the brick and stone structures of another generation, written in the tailings of old mines, flashing in the streams and lakes, preserved in a place where the West still lives. Whether you are looking for the history of another time or just looking for some good outdoor Western fun, you will find it all here in the land the Native Americans once called "The Smiles of God." At the heart of the Smile, you will find the Best Western Trailside Inn.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Clean and Efficient Breanne, 2006-05-18 Black Bear Restaurant- now with many California locations. They prepare food as you order it, from scratch, so expect the usual dining experience to take a little over an hour. The food is excellent and the portions are large enough to fill the most demanding appetite. Highly recommended in whatever city you may find them. This review is for the Best Western Trailside Inn in Alturas, CA. I would readily recommend Best Western. The rooms were very clean. The staff very accomodating. Sufficient room to hang clothes and a separate bathroom/toilet from the vanity. I have stayed here a few times as a child, and I can't say I was dissappointed. The only snafu was that the pool was being retiled while we were there. =( |
