The jewel of Sacramento. The elegant and historic Delta King Paddlewheeler is permanently moored in Old Sacramento. Forty-two staterooms, the popular Pilothouse restaurant, 2 dinner theatre programs and entertainment in the Delta Lounge are just some of the reasons locals and visitors call the Delta King a *must see* Sacramento experience. Shopping museums *including the California State Railroad Museum*, downtown, The State Capitol, the American River Bike Trail and numerous first class restaurants are within walking distance.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 View of Old Sacramento E, 2006-05-13 The Towe car museum is on Front Street also. Approximately a mile away. The Towe (prounced To-Vah) houses old Fords from the first made. The view of Old Sacramento allowed us to see exactly where we could go in Old Sac.before leaving the ship. The only noise we heard was the train horn about twice a day;no sirens, no other cars just peace and quiet. There were many nearby restaurants that could be accessed by walking. There was no way to get lost, we could see where we were going, where we had been and where our ship was. There was plenty of valet parking and also handicap parking for overnight, also, there was a large garage at the beginning of Old Sacramento near the ship. The entire ship is no smoking, but you are allowed to smoke on the deck of the ship. There were tables and chairs out on deck for anyone who wished to sit there. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful. The price was cheaper than most hotels nearby. I would definitely book the Delta King again.
